We covered the area around the temple, Armenia Street, Umbrella Street, jetty etc. was taken to a very commercial coffee place at the end. Guide seem like he wanted to finish the tour soon and wasn’t very informative
Lim was so friendly, warm and informative. He went above and beyond and his service was excellent. I recommend him to anyone who would like to spend time and learn local history from him. He is truly a Penang tourist ambassador.
Fabulous walking tour of George Town with Matthew who was a very informative guide. We experienced lots of different aspects of life and religion past and present in this Town.
Mohammad was a very kind and thoughtful guide . even though it was a walking tour.he picked us up from the ship and drove us around which was convenient for us. We also walked on the streets and he gave us time for shopping and browsing.
Guide was friendly and knowledgable, but pricey for how brief it was. Not every location was visited and would have preferred to skip the shopping destination.
Friendly and intimate guiding to appreciate the secrets of the place, wonderful cultural tour of Penang
Guide was super friendly and professional, but the tour didn't stop every at every advertised location was visited and would have preferred to skip the shopping destination. Went on another tour the same day and got more description for the same stops. Bit too pricey for what it is.
We enlisted a local tour operator to show us this wonderful, historical UNESCO World Heritage Site. In no particular order we saw Queen Victoria Memorial Clock Tower, Fort Cornwallis, Chew Jetty, Armenian Street, Kapitan Keeling Mosque, Little India, Sri Mahamariamman Temple, Goddess of Mercy Temple, St. George Anglican Church and Khoo Kongsi. The local street art was also visited including: "little children on a bicycle" and "flying Butterfly Cat". Great guide who also gave us tips on the street food and the brest places to shop.
Mohammed was very friendly. Great English. Unfortunately we all felt like he was rushing to finish. 3 hrs of tour was completed in 2 hours.
The tour with Khoo Bee Lean was great! We learnt a lot about the origins of Penang, including the British settlement, and we also learnt a lot about the Chinese clan family system. It was also great to hear the perspective of a local on Penang’s past and current direction. It was a great way to see and contextualise Penang and we would definitely recommend to anyone visiting!
