At 06:00 in the morning our tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo and transfer to private A/C latest model vehicle to Bahariya Oasis about 350 km west Giza, this journey takes about 4hours, upon arrival to Baharaia change your car to use the 4×4 then go through the desert 40 km to visit the black desert. Then lunch will be served at local traditional restaurant looking over well-called el Hez where you can swim relax before or after lunch
The Black Desert is a region of volcano-shaped and widely spaced mounds, distributed along about 30 km in western Egypt between the White Desert in the south and the Bahariya Oasis in the north. Most of its mounds are capped by basalt sills, giving them the characteristic black color
The mounds of the Black Desert, up to 100 m high, vary in size, composition, height, and shape as some are dark consisting of iron quartzite while others are more reddish as its surface rocks consist of iron sandstone. On the outskirts of the Black Desert are volcanic hills proving the eruption of dark volcanic dolerite, dating back to the Jurassic period 180 million years ago.
El-Wahat el-Bahariya or el-Bahariya is a depression and a naturally rich oasis in the Western Desert of Egypt. It is approximately 370 km away from Cairo. The roughly oval valley extends from northeast to southwest, has a length of 94 km, a maximum width of 42 km and covers an area of about 2000 km². The valley is surrounded by mountains and has numerous springs. Located in Giza Governorate, the main economic sectors are agriculture, iron ore mining, and tourism. The main agricultural products are guavas, mangos, dates, and olives.

It was a really fun tour, but you should be aware that you spend a lot of time on the road and only a little time on the desert. This is because it is a day tour, not overnight, and the distance from Cairo, and also the distance between black and white desert are quite significant. Our 4X4 driver was the local expert in desert driving but because of pure distance and road condition, it takes a lot more time than expected to drive to the next destination. The white desert is really beautiful and we wish we could spend more time there. Maybe next time, we will spend the night. Both the driver and guide were awesome. We came back to Giza around 9PM.
Fascinating, everything became even better in the company of our guide Ahmed and the cool driver who plays great music, this was like traveling with friends, amazing experience

Fantastic trip, would give 6 out of 5 stars if I could, the White desert itself is an amazing site, was like being on an alien world, yet is actually the sea bed 5 million years ago! The view at Wahat Osis is stunning and we also went to the black desert and crystal mountain. The tour around all of these places was in a 4x4 with another local guide which was good fun - up and round the dunes. We also had a delicious lunch afterwards. Our guide from Emo tours (Hamada) and our driver (Abo) were really nice and helped make the day so thanks to them 😊. Also having visited Egypt a couple of times previously, it was amazing to see some of the natural wonders which are overshadowed by the man made wonders, Highly recommend this trip if you have time when in Cairo ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m so glad I booked it 😊
It was a long day, but it worth to see the beautiful nature near the Bahariya Oasis and to experience the piece in the desert. A professional guide is very useful on this trip to find the best places in the Black and White Deserts.
The desert tour was breath taking, the tour guide and the driver made the tour a memorable experience from beginning to end. We were picked up on time, lunch was great, the tour guide was knowledgeable of the sites and took us to the most picturesque sites! Emo Tours totally delivered!!
What a wonderful day… we couldn’t imagine a better trip to visit all this rich and mesmerizing landscapes. Our guide (Nader) was such a nice gentleman! As still in his Master degree in Archeology he explain us every detail during this 12H+ tour! Humility and kindness define Nader. Hell do everything to make it unforgettable and that was the case! Hope to see him again as a great archeologist!
