The Hawa Mahal, the most famous landmark of Jaipur, the palace of winds built by Sawai Pratap Singh was actually planned for the royal household to have a look at everyday life of the city. The palace has tier upon tier of curved arch surmounting fairy casements with “jali” – latticework screens.

The Jantar Mantar monument of Jaipur, is a collection of nineteen architectural astronomical instruments, built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh. The Royal Gaitor Tumbas is a tomb that holds the remains of several maharajas, including Pratap Singh, Madho Singh II, and Jai Singh II. Located beneath the Nahargarh Fort in a secluded area surrounded by desert foothills, this site has an air of neglect and mystery to it.
The Jal Mahal, the water palace that is situated in the midst of the beautiful Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur City. Jal Mahal is an exceptional structure of the Rajput culture. The palace and the lake around it were renovated and enlarged in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber. A wonderful five storied building built in red sandstone.
Amer, formerly known as the capital of the state before Jaipur, holds a rich history. Built in 1592 by Raja Man Singh, this old fort is now popularly referred to as Amer Palace and Fort. Made with red sandstone and marble, it exudes grandeur and is enhanced by the presence of Maotha Lake nearby. The combination creates a charming ambiance that adds to its allure.
Another must-see spot is Panna Meena ka Kund ( PANNA MEENA STEPWELL ), a unique square-shaped stepwell with stairs on all four sides and a room on the northern wall. This structure holds religious significance as it was used for ceremonies before weddings or during festivals. Although not the largest in Rajasthan, Panna Meena ka Kund is definitely worth a visit for its historical and cultural value.

We booked a tour with Janu Private Tours during our visit for the Holi festival, and overall it was a very good experience. Janu took great care of us and everything was well organized from the beginning. The airport pickup worked perfectly and made our arrival very easy. The arrangements for the Holi festival were also very well prepared, so we could simply enjoy the celebration without worrying about anything. Food and drinks during the event were organized nicely as well. Janu was attentive and made sure that everything went smoothly for us. First of all, a huge thank you to our driver Imran - he was absolutely wonderful!! From the very first moment we met him, he was incredibly friendly, open, and warm-hearted. He made us feel comfortable right away, and it was clear that he genuinely cared about making our day special. After picking us up directly from our hotel in the morning, Imran first took us for a short stop to enjoy a fresh lassi: A perfect and very authentic start to the day. From there, we began our tour through Jaipur, visiting all the places we wanted to see. Throughout the entire day we felt very comfortable and well taken care of. Imran was patient, helpful, and navigated the busy streets of Jaipur with great skill. He always made sure we had enough time at every stop and that we were enjoying ourselves. 🌿 I recently did a Jaipur trip with Janu Private Tours, and they handled everything — sightseeing, itinerary planning, and transport — so smoothly that the entire journey felt completely stress-free. From hotel bookings to refreshments between different locations, everything was thoughtfully arranged. The cabs were always clean and well-maintained, but what truly touched me were the little details. Once, I forgot to carry my water bottle and wet wipes. When I returned to the car after sightseeing, I found the temperature set comfortably, along with water bottles and wet wipes kept ready for me. It may seem small, but such gestures make you feel genuinely cared for. The driver was well-informed about all the locations, extremely courteous, and very friendly, which made moving around the city easy and pleasant. I have used this company Services several times when I’ve had friends visiting me in India and they have always been exceptional. Sumer was our private driver for our day trip. He speaks perfect English and knew all the best places to visit. He was punctual, polite and really respectful. He accommodated us when we needed certain supplies and was fun to be around. I’d definitely ask if we could have him as our driver the next time we visit.

What a fantastic day tour of Jaipur with Janu Tours. Our driver Ayub Khan and Tour guide Jai Singh were incredible from hotel pick-up to drop-off. Nothing was too much trouble and they took us to all the important sights and threw in a few bonus locations which was so kind. They took care of us brilliantly all day long and made the trip such a memorable one for us. We had an amazing time on our private 2-day guided tour of Jaipur. Zaheer, our driver, and Suria, our guide, really went out of their way to make sure we had an unforgettable experience. They showed us all the key attractions in the city, but also took us to some lesser-known spots that we never would have discovered on our own. Suria’s knowledge was impressive – he shared fascinating insights about the city's history and architecture that made everything so much more meaningful. Both Zaheer and Suria were so considerate, always making sure we were comfortable and that our needs were met. They also gave us plenty of time to explore on our own when we wanted to.
