This tour was an amazing experience! We felt so immersed in the culture. We saw great views and really enjoyed interacting with local indigenous artisans and musicians. We got to meet a master weaver, Jose, who creates high quality textiles using traditional pedal looms. We bought one of a kind sweaters and tapestries! Pato was a wonderful tour guide. He was so knowledgeable, personable and funny! He really felt like an old friend. You can tell he loves what he does! I would highly recommend this tour!
Hello Leena, Thank you so much for sharing your Wonderful Experience with our Private Full-Day Tour From Quito to Otavalo Indigenous Market. It was my pleasure has been part of your experience as your Local Tour Guide. I hope to see you again. Safe Travels, Pato
Excellent program you organize together with Patricio according to tastes and possibilities, Otavalo is much more than a traditional town and market. We went to the nearby villages to see and listen to the artisans and of course to spend money, from making leather goods, looms that are made from generation to generation, how the colors are prepared for the fabrics, a flia that makes handcrafted musical instruments! What special people, so friendly! and the market, to continue enjoying. And then go through Peguche, if you don't try the cakes you didn't go through Peguche!!! 100 points!

This was our second tour with our guide Patricio (Pato) and we were so glad we did another tour with him! We had a very personalized experience, where Pato took us to his favorite spots on the way to Otavalo market. Our favorite was tasting the Bizcocho in Cayambe - amazing! The market is expansive and town is gorgeous. It was also great to learn about the indigenous culture. In the afternoon we visited some of Pato's friends (two Jose's!), one who makes and plays musical instruments, and the other to makes beautiful textiles. We finished our full day with a waterfall visit and fritatas at a local spot which was delicious! We highly recommend this tour with Pato!
Hi Nicholas and Lisa, Thank you so much for sharing your Amazing Unique Tour of Beautiful Otavalo Experience. Since we leave from Quito, I enjoyed every single stop in the Road, but your are right, the Bizcocho in Cayambe was Amazing. A lot of activities in one day and finally the Fritada was the cherry on top. I hope to see you again. Pato
Spent the day with Pato (Patricio) and enjoyed all of the cool sites on the way to Otavalo. We stopped at a few places to take photos as well that were perfect! Pato took a few of his favorite places to try some traditional bizcochos (think, buttery biscuits) and had the best time shopping at Otavalo, the largest artisan market in South America. Word of advice, when shopping, if you see something you like, buy it! Even though the market is full of similar types of things (ponchos etc.) there are many variations and you may not find that something again in a different stall - I made that mistake! Such a great tour, loved every minute of it.
Hi Vonita, Thanks a lot for sharing your Awasome Day Tour at Otavalo Indigenous Market. My pleasure once again has been part of your Wonderful Experience as your Tour Guide. You are right. If you see something nice you want, Just buy It. I hope to see you again my friend. Pato
Patricio was great at helping me find what I wanted to purchase and helping with translation, when needed. The Quitsato Solar Clock Museum was a fascinating stop as well.
Hello My friend, Absolutely Excellent Day Tour in Otavalo Market. I always enjoy to show that part of my country. I hope to see you again, Patricio
Quito is amazing in its own right, but after a few days there it's nice to escape to one of Ecuador's other many attractions. Otovalo came recommended on a Quito city tour so me and mi amor Fernanda booked it. The company confirmed right away and picked us up punctually the next day. A bit of a drive to Otovalo, but it's worth it! The handicrafts and local food and beverages are top notch. The country you're in is very different from the city. A different elevation and closer view to nature and mountains and volcanoes. Feels much more connected. Tour guide Jossua was perfect. Some tour guides inundate you with a stream of bs you'll never remember or relate to. Not Jossua; he expounded when needed and was silent when it wasn't necessary so me and Fernanda could discover on our own. Beautiful!
Hi Alex, Thank you so much for sharing your Extraordinary Otavalo Day excursión with our Guide Jossua. We really appreciate to hear from you this great adventure. We hope to see you again. Jossua and Patricio
