The Grand Palace located in the old city of Bangkok on the banks of the Chao Phraya river is one of the must see sites of Thailand. This complex is one of the most famous landmarks of the country and offers spectacular buildings and sacred sites. The Grand Palace is a magnificent complex of buildings of great significance. Construction of the complex began in 1782 when King Rama I decided to move the capital of Thailand from Thonburi to an area known as Rattanakosin island on the East side of the Chao Phraya river. The complex is surrounded by 1,900 meters long walls and houses among others Royal residences, the throne halls and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. It housed the center of government and the Royal Court and became the center of the Kingdom. The Grand Palace served as the official residence of Thai Kings until the reign of King Chulalongkorn at the end of the 19th century. Today the Palace is used for a number of Royal rituals, state banquets and other official functions. Some parts of the Palace like the Inner Court are not open to the public.
Wat Phra Kaew or the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (officially known as Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram) is regarded as the most important Buddhist temple in Thailand. Located in the historic centre of Bangkok, within the grounds of the Grand Palace, it enshrines Phra Kaew Morakot (the Emerald Buddha), the highly revered Buddha image meticulously carved from a single block of jade. The Emerald Buddha (Phra Putta Maha Mani Ratana Patimakorn) is a Buddha image in the meditating position in the style of the Lanna school of the north, dating from the 15th century AD.
Wat Arun or Temple of Dawn is one of Bangkok’s most famous temples at the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. It is right next to the Naval Base and directly across Wat Po. It is famous for both Thais and foreigners due to the beauty and signature charm of its decoration. Every day, thousands of Thais and foreigners visit the temple.
Bangkok’s Chinatown is a popular tourist attraction and a food haven for new generation gourmands who flock here after sunset to explore the vibrant street-side cuisine. At day time, it’s no less busy, as hordes of shoppers descend upon this 1-km strip and adjacent Charoenkrung Road to get a day’s worth of staple, trade gold, or pay a visit to one of the Chinese temples.
Bangkok Flower Market (Pak Klong Talad) is the biggest wholesale and retail fresh flower market in Bangkok. The market has all kinds of popular flowers and flora-related items, including roses, forget me nots, orchids, lilies and more. Most of them sold in packs of 50 or 100 flowers in each, and prices are amazingly cheap. Part of the Old City, Bangkok Flower market is located on Chak Phet Road near Saphan Phut or the Memorial Bridge. Shops and vendors are housed inside two to three-storey shop-houses on both sides of the main road. The market lies just south of Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha) and has access to a river pier, so it makes for a great one-day trip when combined with other historical attractions in the Old City.
The Wat Pho or “Temple of the Reclining Buddha” is one of Bangkok’s most attractive temples. It is a much visited temple complex due to its location immediately South of the Grand Palace and the huge Reclining Buddha image it houses. The temple that is officially named Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimonmangkhalaram is one of the six temples in Thailand that are of the highest grade of the first class Royal temples. Finally, it's a perfect chance to return. Besides, drop off you at your Bangkok City Hotel around 5 pm.

I had a family emergency (death in the family) 1 day prior to this tour. Since the free cancellation period was over, I called and explained my situation and the tour operator didn’t hesitate to refund the entire money. Was absolutely stoked by their empathy and attitude! Will return to do this tour later in the year for sure!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m truly sorry for your loss, and I’m glad I could help make this difficult time a little easier. It’s wonderful to hear that you plan to return for the tour later in the year, and I’ll be more than happy to welcome you back whenever you’re ready. Wishing you all the best during this time, and I look forward to seeing you again soon!
We had a fantastic day with our guide Supatsara, who went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and provide us with an incredible experience. Her extensive knowledge of the sites, history, and culture was exceptional, and she even knew the most efficient routes to save us time and effort. Additionally, Supatsara acted as our personal photographer and helped us negotiate the best prices. We cannot express enough how amazing she is and how lucky we feel to have had her as our guide.
The guide was very gently and simpatetic, but unfrotunatelly her english ws not good and we had problems to understand and comunicate and she could not explain about thew history of Thailand . . .I suggest urgently a english course for her
