We are suggesting you to visit Medeu skating rink on the way to Shymbulak Mountain ski resort from cable car, it is an outdoor speed skating and bandy rink. It's located in a mountain valley. Medeo sits 1691 meters above sea level. It's considered to be the world's largest high mountain skating rink. We will go by cable car to Shymbulak skiing resort - the largest resort in Central Asia.
On Kok-Tobe you can enjoy beautiful view of Almaty from 1130 m above the sea level. On the territory of the park, there are play grounds with slides, swings, fountain of desires where you can make a wish, mini zoo, the Beatles statue. After Kok Tobe we will go to Kazakh national restaurant to try traditional cuisine.
This park is dedicated and named after Panfilov's heroes who died while defending Moscow from the German invasion during the second world War. There are Memorial Glory, dedicated to the soldiers and Monument of Soldiers from 15 Soviet Union countries.
It's one of the historical and cultural Monument of Almaty city. This church is the unique architectural structure. Was built in 1903 and completed in 1907, made by wood without using of nails.
This is the local market, where you can buy souvenirs, clothes, try and buy local food anddelicacies. Monday is a day off for all markets.
We will visit brand shop of Rakhat candy factory, in this place you can purchase local chocolate, biscuits, etc for you and your family and friends.

One of the most enjoyable trips I had in my life , Assel was my tour guide and she managed to plan everything in a very short notice … with high knowledge of the history and excellent English accent and she is a nice photographer as well so despite I was solo she gave me very excellent photos and enjoyed it as if I am with a friend … also the car was very clean and driver was nice and drive well thanks to you all and hope to see you again … Rakhmet

Our guide Asel was incredibly good. She ensured that we had a good time, held great conversation for the entire day and really went the extra mile to help us. I highly recommend her as a guide if you’re English or Russian speaking (or a mixed group like we were!). One word of caution - for the ski lift, especially in November - spend the extra money and rent blankets. I’m not sure my toes would’ve made it without that 😀

Our guide Alina was wonderful. She introduced us to the history and the very beautiful and rich Kazakh culture with passion along a most interesting and varied circuit. This was a fantastic tour especially when you have someone like Alina guide you through the places. She knows the Kazhak tradition and history the best and I would highly recommend this one with Alina the first day like we did. The best part was that it was comfortable and she made sure we were there at the Shymbulak early before the crowd started and we returned back when it was just about time. Had a fantastic lunch at a boutique restaurant in Kak Tobe. The icing on the cake was the green bazaar and the kazhak chocolate shop which featured authentic kazhak stuff. What we liked about Alina was she made sure explained all the stuff, negotiated with the vendors in Russian and was never pushy to buy anything. Add this in the review please. They are a bit expensive but worth every penny.

Great to see glacier in Shymbulak. Kok Tobe is a very nice place to visit. Lunch in Navat is good. Our guide, Alina, is also wonderful and helpful.
