John is a fantastic tour guide. We had made our own itinerary but he took us to a few places we hadn’t thought about that were fantastic, and to a fantastic and well priced lunch spot.
We looked on trip advisor as the weather stopped us from going up the planned day of Mt Fuji so was looking for something else to do and came upon “sunny tours”….what a find Sun the company owner agreed to pick us up and spend five fantastic hours with us . At exactly 10 am the next morning Sun turned up and we went to the most beautiful waterfalls then a winery and then Sun took us to a great local restaurant for lunch then to a facility that explains all about Mt Fuji as well as a film and then to a saki brewery . Sun tailor makes the day for you so whatever your interests are he adapts the day for a fulfilling informative day with lots of laughs and insights into the Japanese culture Thank you Sun for a great day Ron , Carmen Dylan , leighee
Kumi was an exceptional guide who made this half day trip fantastic.
Our tour was spectacular! Our tour guide Nao was amazing at showing us around the local spots and knew so much about the history of Fuji and gave us recommendations in other cities as well! Definitely recommend him and Sunny Tours for your next trip to Japan!
Sun was such an excellent guide. Really, the best we’ve had in Japan! Can not recommend him and his company and this tour enough! He was even kind enough to drop us at a stop completely out of his way. His picture taking of us was perfect also- not a bad one in the bunch!
We had the best experience with our guide, Sun. He was the most knowledgeable and fun guide we’ve ever had. He owns the the company Viator used and he was very flexible with our schedule. I had some problem with scheduling at first thinking our tour was canceled. Sun was very punctual. Despite of our late start ( our own choice), we were able to cover a lot. He showed us a live you tube webcam of the destination of its worth going. We are chasing Mt. Fuji but unfortunately by 10 AM, she was ready to hide behind the clouds. But we went around and he drove us around everywhere ( according to my checklist to see.) We took his info and we’ll definitely use if we go back to Mt. Fuji! It was one of the highlights of our trip.
The driver, Sun was very knowledgeable and spoke English well. My family and I had a delightful tour. Viator has done it again.
We had an awesome afternoon with Sun. We told him what we wanted to see and he added a few more spots to see that we didn’t know about. He went at our pace and was very accommodating and responsive to our needs. He was very knowledgeable about the area and history and we enjoyed our conversations about the Japanese culture and economy as well. Definitely worth booking a private tour with Sunny Tours. We wouldn’t have seen all we saw without him. Definitely recommend!
We had a terrific day with Daisuke! He was a great guide and had lots of information to share. There was a bit of confusion as to how the itinerary is determined (may have been my fault), but we were able to pick out places we wanted to go with Daisuke when he picked us up. Highly recommend as an option - particularly for a group (we were six people). Conversations with tour operator in advance are very easy too if you have questions.
Our trip with John was a great experience, he took us around the greatest hits of Hakone for 4 hours and had lots of good information to share! He knew which places would have large crowds and which places to skip which we appreciated. Great driver with great English so the conversation was great. Thank you for your time!
