Our half-day PRIVATE guided food tour offers the opportunity to try delicious Jordanian food, sample fresh juices, & explore Amman with a local tour guide. Start with a tour of the Amman Citadel: learn about the continuous occupation of Amman & have 360-degree views of the city. Next the Roman Theatre: climb to the top of the 6000-seat theatre that is built right into the mountain. 8 food tastings: Walk to the old downtown including: fruit & vegetable market, gold souq, Amman’s oldest mosque, sample seasonal market products, fruit juice, dine where the locals eat, enjoy local desserts & more! You will not go home hungry on this tour. Please advise of dietary restrictions before the tour—we can easily accommodate vegetarian diets. Please note that we do our best to advise kitchens of allergies, but we are unable to guarantee that any products are free of allergens or cross-contamination. Jordanian food is consumed with a lot of pita bread, dairy, and meat.

This is a fantastic introduction to the delicious food of Amman. We started at the citadel and Roman theater for some history and to work up an appetite then dived right in for the food. I’m glad it was a walking tour otherwise I would’ve had to be rolled back to my hotel, everything was delicious. We explored so many local places and markets and tried so many good deserts like Knafeh and ice cream. Jumana is a fantastic and I had so much fun hanging out with her. Definitely a must do for Amman!
