If you haven't much time to spend in Fatehpur Sikri then I recommend this tour. It's just over 2 hours including the little bus that takes you from the parking to the monument site. Shahid was a great guide who knew the place like the back of his hand and gave you ample opportunity to wander about and take photos. His knowledge of the history of Fatehpur Sikri was good and he appreciated you asking questions which unlocked another layer of knowledge that wasn't offered in his usual narrative. Apart from being a polite, attentive guide with a quiet dry sense of humour, he was a superb photographer! He had the measure of my Samsung S21 ultra zoom right away and I soon had a superb gallery of shots from the best angles including ones of me in his favourite framing spots around the site. Of course, we had the ubiquitous visit to one of the marble souvenir shops near the site on the way out, but there was only mild pressure to buy from the shopkeeper which I didn't mind. We all have to make a living somehow. It was worth this slightly depressing detour to have a safe, hassle free tour of this haunting and beautiful place. I would recommend this tour and particularly Shahid if you want some brilliant photos to remember it by.
