As you head towards Kanchanaburi, enjoy the scenic drive through Thailand’s picturesque countryside. The lush greenery, tranquil rivers, and rustic villages offer a glimpse into the rural charm of the region.
Upon arrival in Kanchanaburi, your journey through history begins at the JEATH War Museum, a poignant tribute to the prisoners of war who endured unimaginable hardships while constructing the Death Railway. As you explore the museum's detailed exhibits, you’ll gain insight into the brutal conditions faced by the prisoners during the Japanese occupation. The museum’s collection of photographs, artifacts, and stories paints a vivid and emotional picture of this painful chapter in history.
Your next stop is the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, a solemn and peaceful site where thousands of Allied soldiers rest, having sacrificed their lives while building the Burma Railway. This beautifully maintained cemetery offers a serene atmosphere, perfect for quiet reflection. As you walk among the neatly arranged gravestones, take a moment to honor and pay your respects to the brave souls who perished during this dark chapter of history.
Discover the legendary River Kwai and its historic bridge in Kanchanaburi. Learn about the construction of the Death Railway during World War II and visit important memorial sites. Surrounded by lush landscapes and calm river views, this visit combines history, remembrance, and natural beauty.
There is a famous bridge in Thailand that crosses a river called the Khwae. It’s a destination for visitors of all kinds, including Europeans and Americans—who mostly have no idea they’ve been mispronouncing it for over sixty years.
You will enjoy Erawan National Park.
You'll be ready for some exercise, so we'll take you into the Erawan National Park for a trek through the jungle to the beautiful terraced Erawan waterfalls. You'll have time to relax with a swim here or just a paddle if you prefer. (Please take your swimming dress if you want to swim).
After a rejuvenating hike through Erawan National Park, your day of exploration comes to a close. As you begin your journey back to Bangkok, take the time to reflect on the remarkable blend of history and nature you've experienced. The memories of the historical landmarks, the stunning waterfalls, and the serene countryside will stay with you, leaving you feeling both enriched and refreshed as you return to the bustling city.

A wonderful day seeing sites of worship and nature. Guides were kind and knowledgeable. Thank you for a great day in Thailand
Nice guide and safe driver. Made the long trip from Bangkok comfortable and enjoyable. Though it was the wrong season to see the Erawan Waterfall, there are also less crowded and drier to walk up the waterfall as well.
Our tour guide, Kit, met us in the hotel lobby exactly at the scheduled start time. He promptly called for the car, and our driver, Paul, brought a Toyota SUV to the front entrance. From there, we began our journey smoothly and comfortably. We started with a one-and-a-half-hour drive to the Death Railway Museum, followed by a walk across the historic River Kwai Bridge. Afterward, we continued on to Erawan National Park, stopping along the way in the mountains for a delightful Thai lunch at a roadside café. At the park, we enjoyed swimming in the beautiful waterfall pools and were pleasantly surprised by how cool and refreshing the water felt, especially with the outside temperature at approximately 37°C. We concluded the day with a comfortable three-hour drive back to our hotel in Bangkok, bringing a well-organized and memorable experience to a close.
Our guide Kit & driver Lay were both excellent. Picked us up at our hotel on time (apologies as we were late - I misread the pick up time) Kit was a great communicator, very knowledgeable and always where he said he’d be, really enjoyed the trip although it was a long day!
I had limited time in Bangkok so took this tour to experience as much as possible. The tour packed in a full day, from the history of the railway, walking across the Kwai river bridge, rafting and swimming in a waterfall. The tour guide and driver were very helpful and made suggestions to get the most of the day. I fully recommend if you have limited time and want to explore Thailand .
Aey was friendly and professional. Her English was good and she made sure we were comfortable, fed and hydrated throughout the day. The waterfalls were so amazing, my only advice would be to allow a little bit more time there instead.
The tour company was responsive and accommodating to our needs, which made it more personalized. Miss Lacharoche was very knowledgeable and kind. She was a great photographer and gave us enough time to enjoy each attraction. The beauty of the attractions was mesmerizing. The driver was safe and the ride was smooth and comfortable. Water was included and the lunch was delicious! Great tour!
