Thanks to its ancient history, the magic of Ortigia island and the charm of its coast, Syracuse is one of the most popular destinations in Sicily. Our driver will pick you up from your accommodation at your most preferred time and drive you to the beautiful city of Syracuse. The first stop will be at the Neapolis, the archeological area of the city. Here you will have free time to admire the roman amphitheater and the impressive and solemn Greek Theatre, the biggest in the island and one of the biggest in the world, entirely carved into the rock. You can also visit the Ear of Dionysius, an artificial cave placed right under the Theatre. It is called this way for its ear shape and also for its acoustic properties. Afterwards, the driver will drop you off in Ortigia Island, the ancient historical centre of Syracuse. Here you will have free time to stroll in the characteristic streets and see the most important monuments such as Aretusa Fontain, the Cathedral and Maniace castle.

The first stop will be at the archeological park of Neapolis. a Unesco World Heritage. Here it's possible to see the most important remains of the ancient Greek and Roman town. The Greek theater, the Roman amphitheater, the ancient stone quarries, the ear of Dionysus, and the altar of Hieron, are just some of the monuments found within this large green area
The Cathedral of the Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary is located in the highest part of the city and its facade combines baroque and rococo style.
At the entrance of Ortygia island, you will be greeted by the aroma of every kind of spice, chili peppers from Etna, almond cakes, as well as seafood and fresh fish. A nice opportunity to get to know our local products and learn new Sicilian recipes.
Dating back to the beginning of the 6th century B.C., today its remains stand out in the middle of a garden that makes the entire landscape even more spectacular.
It is located in the oldest part of Ortigia. This is an evocative water mirror made even more special by lush papyrus plants. It is also the place where the legend of Aretusa and Alfeo is set.
In Archimedes Square, there is a monumental fountain by Giulio Moschetti, representing the goddess of hunting, an ancient protector of Siracusa.
You will have free time to explore the beautiful island of Ortigia, It is the most ancient district of the Sicilian city of Siracusa. It’s a sort of “city within the city” and “island within the island” so that it’s one of the most special places in Southern Italy.

Andrew our driver was a lovely young man. Felt very safe with his driving. The Necropolis was very interesting and Ortega is beautiful. Make sure you take a hat and lots of water as it was very hot in both places.
A great trip. Costa was friendly, professional and informative. It was a very comfortable drive and then we got to explore ourselves and make the most of our time.
