A wonderful way to see the countryside and it's people. The mountains are mystical & green, tea plantations everywhere. We had a great day and our guide & driver were fantastic.
Such a nice trip with such an amazing views and driver. He was talkative and open to get to know us.I truly recommend that trip
To have a tour guide Jude & driver Onu (not sure spelling) was absolutely spectacular. Jude was very knowledgeable not only about the scheduled tour but also about Kerala & India in general. He made us feel at ease and guided us effectively through the day. Request Jude for your trip to Munnar or any other tour, you won't be disappointed.
Booked the tour with a tour guide- my guide Jude was very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave a great summary of historical events and culture tidbits on the drive to munnar. Once we arrived there, he answered all questions I had, and he was happy to do some small detours like checking out a chocolate shop
One of the best trips ever, photos do not do justice to the Munnar Tea plantations, it really is Gods own country. We had to drive 4 hours to get to Munnar from Kochi but it was so totally worth it. The drive is very pleasant and comfortable and few stops on way gives you a break. Our Guide and driver were lovely people, very helpful and our Guide Shajee was excellent, he always answered our never ending questions about the tea plantations. The factory visit was really interesting and informative.
We were collected at 6.30 am from our hotel by our guide, Jude and driver Umi and started the 4 hour drive to Munnar. We stopped for traditional breakfast along the way which was great. We visited a waterfall and a spice/ayurveda plant shop. It was great to see the plants growing in their natural environment and the talk was very interesting. You get the opportunity to buy some spices/ medicines but there is no hard sell. We continued along the winding mountain road to Munnar. The scenery along the way is stunning and we were lucky enough to experience it in the sun. When we reached the tea plantation we had a walk among the tea trees. My husband has a bad pack so he was able to take it at a length that suited him. After that we visited a tea museum, which was very interesting after which you have the opportunity to buy various types of tea, again no hard sell. We than had lunch and headed back to Fort Kochi. Our guide Jude was excellent, we learnt so much about Munnar and India on our journey. Our driver was a careful driver. When booking this tour I was unsure if it would be too much to do in one day but I am so glad I did because it would have been a shame to have missed out on this experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
Lots of driving but our driver (Anthony) was so nice and helpful, made some additional stops for nice photo ops of the plantations for us! The waterfalls were unfortunately dried up at the moment but we had so much fun !
We had a very nice day, the scenery was beautiful. The driver Sebastian, was very nice.
This was an amazing trip to the very scenic Munnar tea plantation and areas along the way. Our guide Shastri was very friendly and knowledgeable and the driver, very skilled to negotiate the traffic, winding roads and rough roads at time. We enjoyed all aspects of the tour, including the food stops for breakfast and lunch organised by Shastri. Be prepared for a very long but rewarding day. Highly recommended.
Really great day out. Long trip to get to Munnar but you stop for breakfast on the way and also stop off at a spice farm and for lunch (would need to pay for both meals). Great tour guide and knowledgeable. Munnar itself is beautiful and would definitely recommend this tour.
