Dendera Temple is an ancient Egyptian temple located in the city of Dendera, in Upper Egypt. The temple was dedicated to the goddess Hathor, the goddess of love, beauty, music, and fertility.The temple complex comprises of several structures, including the Temple of Hathor, the Temple of Tausert and Seti II, the birth house, and the sanatorium. The temple was built during the Ptolemaic period (305-30 BCE) and it was also expanded during the Roman period. The temple also features a number of reliefs, hieroglyphs, and statues, many of which depict Hathor and other gods and goddesses.Dendera Temple is a popular tourist destination and a significant archaeological site, the temple is known for its well-preserved reliefs and inscriptions, which provide insight into the religious beliefs and practices of ancient Egypt.

Dendara is a beautiful temple. Honestly the best temple I saw the whole time we were there. Our guide was good. To be honest I don’t think I would recommend getting the guided version of this tour. I think it would be worth it just to go and see it and look up information yourself.
I cannot describe the feeling and emotions of Dendera Temple. If you visit Luxor- Do Not Miss this. Having and experienced, educated Guide walking you through the past and bringing the place to life with detailed explanations of what you were seeing is a must. Ahmed H was patient and passionate about his history. This history that has shaped the world we live in. I will take this experience with me and the memory a long time. Well worth the journey!
