Private day tour in Kazbegi (Stepantsminda)

We bring you to the main water reservoir of Jinvali which had been built in the 1980th to supply Tbilisi with water. It is also known as a lake, which is located on the Georgian Military Highway. Here we have a coffee break and photo session before we go to the next destination.

Together, these two rivers continue as, simply, "the Aragvi"; from Pasanauri, the Aragvi flows south-east to the Jinvali Reservoir, where it is joined by the Pshav Aragvi before flowing south to merge with the Mtkvari River by Mtskheta, Eastern Georgia's ancient capital just north of Tbilisi.

Friendship Arch in Gudauri is the monument erected in honor of the friendship of the peoples of Russia and Georgia. It was built in 1983. The Monument in the mountains is quite impressive and a fine example of Soviet Mosaics in very good condition. At last, forward Kazbegi directly where you will have an opportunity to visit the Saint church of Gergeti. This 14th-century church 2200m above Stepantsminda has become almost a symbol of Georgia for its incomparably photogenic hilltop setting with mighty Mount Kazbek rising behind it and for the fierce determination involved in building it on such a lofty, isolated perch. It is an active establishment of the Georgian Orthodox and Apostolic Church. No words can fully describe the feeling you get once you arrive at the Gergeti Trinity Church!
