I booked a private tour from Cairo to Alexandria and the overall experience was genuinely impressive. First, our driver Sharif made the 2.5‑hour trip feel like a fun road adventure instead of a long drive. He was super friendly, very accommodating, and had a great sense of humor. He even let me play my music on full blast — literally max volume like a mini club on wheels. It set the tone for the whole day. Our tour guide, Mig, was equally amazing. Extremely professional, very knowledgeable, and speaks perfect English. As we explored the catacombs, the Roman amphitheater, the citadel, and the stunning Alexandria Library, he shared facts and insights you won’t easily find in books. What I appreciated most is that he never rushed anything — he lets you take your time to walk around, explore, and really absorb each place. Mig also has a chill, easygoing vibe. He doesn’t talk like a typical tour guide who just lists facts and moves on. He goes into detail, explains the history in a way that feels alive, and makes the whole experience richer. You really get what you’re paying for — and more. Highly recommended if you want a smooth, fun, and informative Alexandria trip.
Perfect day, picked up on time in Cairo by Sherif, driven to Alexandria to meet our guide Meg and shown the Catacombs, Pompeii’s pillar, the Citadel and the modern library followed by lunch. Would highly recommend if you want to experience Alexandria.
Sharaf is very good in navigating and provide the best experience possible
Good experience with a friendly and knowledgeable driver cum tour guide. It was a fun and pleasant trip.
Shesho Sherif is very knowledgeable, helpful and kind driver. Highly recommended.
We had an excellent experience with Shesho Sharief as our driver and guide. He was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable throughout the trip. The car was clean and very comfortable, which made all our journeys enjoyable. We took the Saqqara, Memphis, and Dahshur tour with him, as well as the Alexandria tour, and everything was perfectly organized and stress-free. He made sure we were comfortable at all times and shared interesting information about each place we visited. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable and excellent driver and guide in Egypt!
We spent a very nice day in Alexandria visiting the catacombs, the various archeological sites and the citadel. The Qaitbay citadel is definitely a must do, we loved it. A very special thanks to our private Driver from Cairo, Sherif. He’s been very kind with us and our 4 months baby. I recommend, it’s a 5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
First a very smooth journey from Cairo to Alexandria with a perfect driver, we met our guide Mig in Alexandria continuing the perfect day with this experienced guide, offering a lot of time for questions and to explore the areas. Highly recommended.
Mig was excellent, he knew his history and culture of the area and gave us a real personalised tour. Every where we went we were given amble time to explore and ask any questions. Mig is very friendly, professional and gave us an excellent experience.
Two stars because the sights were interesting and the driver was great. ⭐️ First, the positive: The driver was great – very friendly, spoke good English and took us safely and pleasantly to our destination. Here ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unfortunately, our guide Christina was a disappointment. Her explanations of the sights seemed memorized, and she could hardly answer questions outside of her script – also because of a lack of German language skills. When booking a German tour, the guide should at least understand the language. We also had to visit many sights on our own, without sufficient explanations or company. In addition, she was often on the phone or talking to others, so we often had to wait. The low point: During a phone call, she asked us if we wanted fish or vegetarian for lunch. In the restaurant we got two fish instead of one fish and one vegetarian – obviously she didn’t listen to us properly. We were really looking forward to Alexandria, but Christina sadly clouded the experience. Their explanations were superficial, and we would have learned more if we had just read the signs. Conclusion: This tour in German with Christina is an absolute no-go and a waste of money for the price.
