Sarah was a great guide and looked after us really well throughout the day. The lady driving was also great on navigating around and always there waiting for us. The museum and artefacts were worth a visit. Either purchase your tickets ahead on the app or take cash as they would not take we chat or Alipay. Looking around the alleys was good if you want to go shopping. Lots of restaurants you can choose from . Overall a good day out and made a nice friend . People’s park was lovely to sit and people watch and learning about dating corner !
We had an incredible experience with Leo's Private Tour, thanks to our amazing tour guide, Fifi, and our fantastic driver, Mr. Tsai. They arrived promptly at our hotel, greeting us with warmth and kindness that set the tone for a wonderful day. Our first stop was the Dujiangyan Panda Rescue Center, where Fifi amazed us with her knowledge of the pandas, even recognizing them by their names and unique traits! Next, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at a renowned local smoked duck restaurant, which is recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage. In the afternoon, we explored the ingenious Dujiangyan Irrigation System, an engineering marvel completed over 2,000 years ago by Li Bing. Fifi’s rich explanations of its history, construction methods, and impact left us in awe. This ancient system not only supplied fresh water to Chengdu, earning it the nickname "The Land of Abundance," but also played a strategic role in military tactics during the Qin Dynasty. On the way back, Mr. Tsai kindly took a scenic detour (even going overtime) so we could admire the breathtaking flowers and fields that adorn Chengdu and its surroundings. Throughout the trip, he was a calm and exceptionally safe driver, making us feel comfortable even amidst the bustling city traffic. Oh, and did I mention Fifi is a talented photographer? She captured so many memorable moments for us to cherish and share when we return home. Fifi and Mr. Tsai made this day unforgettable. We highly recommend Leo's Private Tour for anyone looking to explore Chengdu with knowledgeable, caring, and thoughtful guides.
