Enter the time machine and travel 3.600 years back in time when the prehistoric town of Akrotiri was a cosmopolitan harbor town ! Explore the advanced city that has been preserved in excellent condition! The buildings, the wallpaintings decorating the walls and their personal belongings froze in time when the volcano erupted violently and volcanic ash buried everything !Due to the high level of living and the way it was destroyed, the town is rumored to be the mythical lost Atlantis. The prehistoric town of Akrotiri is a not to miss stop during your island visit as it is considered one of the most important discoveries in Greece. Your visit will be comfortable as the site is covered with a bioclimatic shelter and experiencing the site with a guide will give you more depth and make your overall experience unique.
Your driver takes you to the unique Red Beach to get a glimpse of the magnificent red volcanic rock formations.
The highest spot of the island is the mountain of Prophet Ilias -2.000 feet (600 meters) above sea level. There is located the homonymous Monastery. Also, feel free and grab the opportunity to admire the panoramic view of the island, the caldera and the neighboring islands.
From the edge of the caldera, you will be able to admire the colorful rock formations and the most photographed blue dome chapel where lots of couples get married!
Oia or Ia, is known throughout the world for its fantastic sunset, and is certainly the most beautiful and picturesque village of Santorini. Oia with its blue domed churches and windmills is situated on top of an impressive cliff and offers a spectacular view over the volcano. Impressive captains’ houses and charming cave houses narrate the glorious past, while narrow streets and alleys of pebbles give you amazing opportunities for pictures you are going to remember for life.
Megalochori is a picturesque, lively village with friendly, lively inhabitants. The central square is the heart of the village, where locals gather in traditional cafes to relax and have fun, creating a warm atmosphere. It is definitely worth spending an evening here to become part of this mood and try local dishes in the natural shade of the trees. You can also find traditional taverns, cafes, and shops in other parts of the village.
A short stop at the Venetian Light house in Akrotiri village. It’s totally at the opposite site of the famous castle of Oia. The ride to reach the lighthouse is a piece of art , because you will have the chance to see the Caldera site from a different perspective.
The black beach is a 5 kilometer black sandy beach located only 10 km from Fira. It’s the perfect way to finish our tour with a relaxing walk along the beach.Depending on the tour time chosen,you can also enjoy lunch or dinner overlooking the Aegean Sea.

Pickup Locations & Times
If you are a cruise ship passenger you should know that the port in Santorini is tendered. You will be brought to the old harbor and then board the cable car to reach the main town. That's where I will be waiting for you so we can start our tour! Estimated start time for cruise ship passengers should be 60-90 min after your scheduled arrival .

Anna and Angelo are the dynamic duo of Santorini tours!! We hired Anna to tour us around (Angelo, her husband, drives the van) while we waited for our AirBnB to be ready, and it was the best decision we made on our visit to Santorini. Anna is an outstanding guide with incredible knowledge mixed with a great sense of humor. She put together a great tour for us and took great care of as the entire time. After meeting at the ferry port, we went to Pyrgos for a quick breakfast at Brusco cafe and some walking around. After that, it was off to Akrotiri archeological park for a fascinating journey back in time. From there, we visited Megalochori, one of Santorini's "hidden villages." Then we visited Domaine Sigalas for a wine tasting and lunch. And then we got dropped at our villa. But that's not all. Angelo became the official transfer agent of our family, arranging all of our island transportation to beach clubs, Fira and the airport. We always felt safe with them and never taken advantage of. So whether you want a private tour or just need a ride from the airpot or to a restaurant, I highly recommend you call Santorini We Travel!

This was one of our favorite excursions. Angelo was so kind and accommodating. He had great information and history of the island and let us do whatever we wanted! We can't say enough good about him and our experience!
Our tour was amazing! One of the best tours we have ever been on. The car was comfortable and the drive was beautiful. He took us to all of the best places and gave us many options to choose from. He also recommended a place to eat and it was the best food we had on our entire trip. His knowledge of the island was priceless and his kindness was so welcoming!

Angelos was amazing! Not only was he accommodating and friendly, but took us to the most wonderful places while avoiding crowds, and all in a luxurious and air conditioned Mercedes van. This was our second visit to Santorini, so Angelos designed the tour based on our preferences and took us to places not seen by many tourists. Until next time, Angelos!
