This was truly a 5 star tour! Salma with Your Egypt Tours was fantastic to work with. She responded promptly to my numerous questions and was happy to tailor the tour to our interests. Our group grew from one person (me) to seven and she readily adjusted the costs per person based on the number we had. On the first day of the tour, we were picked up in a spacious bus at 7 AM from the Alexandria cruise port by Taha (our certified Egyptologist guide), a driver, and an armed guard (Abdul). Our tour included the Giza Plateau, the Saqqara Pyramids, an overnight stay at Steigenberger Pyramids Hotel, then Coptic Cairo and the Grand Egyptian Museum. Taha was fantastic--a wealth of knowledge about all of the sites that we went to and he was just a really fun, nice guy. He offered to take plenty of pictures of us at the "hot" spots throughout the tour. He gave us lots of time to ask questions and we never felt rushed. Abdul kept a close eye on all of us and shepherded us so we stayed relatively close together. He was also so kind with helping us on and off buses and finding shade when it got a little too sunny. The driver was great as well. Traffic in Egypt is just crazy with horns blaring, people walking on the highways, and general chaos, and he managed it smoothly and made sure we were comfortable (and back to the ship with time to spare!). Lastly, the hotel was incredible. We all had huge suites each with 2 balconies overlooking the pyramids. Great pool and multiple restaurants, plus an intriguing and delicious breakfast buffet. We all had such a great time on this tour and it was probably the highlight of our cruise. I'd highly recommend Your Egypt Tours for a fantastic immersion into Egyptian history and lore!
