OPTIONAL STOP, as an alternative panorama point and photo op, instead of the Citadel. Above the reservoir below the Gellért Hill, there lays the Garden of Philosophers, where there are fewer tourists, but there is also a wonderful view of Budapest. One of the specialties of the place is a group of philosophers, where Jesus Christ and Buddha meet, for example, for a better understanding of one another (as can be seen on the pedestal).

The Széchenyi Chain Bridge is a suspension bridge that spans the River Danube between Buda and Pest, the western and eastern sides of Budapest, the capital of Hungary. A more intimate way to see the city. Guides were knowledgeable and fun Gabriella, Peter, Greg. Certainly worth the money.
Our tour guide is a lovely guy, he was able to bring us to most part of Buda, how ever I want to point that our tour started from route 4, as our hotel was based near chain bridge, route 3 from St Gellert thermal bath is temporary close and re opens in 2028 but as per advertised this should be amended as we didn’t pass this area , also take note where is the location of your hotel as we did not pass Andrassy avenue, opera house to heroes hill, or from number 1.2.3 and 6, which is impossible to go back and forth for a limited time of 2 and half hour . So I suggest check your hotel location if you are near 1 and 2 as going back and forth will not be sufficient time, hence some tour requires 3 to 4 hours to cover all routes but take note all major routes in Buda can be accessed by walking only.
It was fabulous. Great driver "Z" We hadn't had any lunch he took us to a great little Hungareian pastry resturant.
Paul was great a great guide! He did a great job getting explaining everything we were seeing, was very personable and attentive. He even went a little over time to get us to the hero’s square which was one of the sites we asked to see. This tour is a great way to start your time in Budapest because you get a good overview of what’s there. We even made a quick stop at the Szimpla ruin bar which we went back to later in the week.
Outstanding tour from local experts . Highly recommended. The guides were excellent with extensive knowledge of historical facts. Great way to see the sights without eating yourselves up waking in areas you are not familiar.
Excellent very informative. I would highly recommend. Take you some water and some comfortable shoes.
Greta was fantastic. So much information. Helped me purchase items I was missing. So kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Loved the tour so much. Thanks Greta for making the tour so fantastic !!!👍👍👍👍
This tour was my very first Viator booking ever. My gal, Al, and I requested a tuck tuck tour of Budapest with a guide possessed of a great sense of humor and superb local knowledge Within moments of meeting Ben in front of our hotel, we knew that Viator had picked just the right guy. First Ben’s English is so idiomatic and so perfect. He could easily pass for a local boy from New York or California and for the next three hours, he showed us just what we wanted to see in Budapest in which he gave us superb insight on local history, culture and customs. We also asked Ben to show us where the young people go and what they do in Budapest and been obliged us with stops at the wonderful ruin bars and other attractions we probably would have missed with another tour guide. Five stars to Viator and Ben as the afternoon spent with him in his tuck tuck mobile was the very best time we spent during our visit to Budapest!
This is a great way to see Budapest. Robert and Martin were great and had detailed commentary on all historical areas. They tailored the tour to our needs and wants. It was quick to get through traffic as well. Thoroughly enjoyable and recommended experience.
We had a private tour with Roberto. We had our 6 years old son with us. Roberto is very energetic and passionate about what he does. He knows a ton about the history, culture, architecture of Budapest. Roberto was very friendly and fun with our kid. We all enjoyed this tour and would recommend a tuktuk experience with Roberto.
