The Halászbástya or Fisherman's Bastion is one of the best known monuments in Budapest, located in the Buda Castle, in the 1st district of Budapest. The terrace provides one of the most famous panoramic views of the Danube, Margaret Island, Pest and the Gellért Hill.

Matthias Fountain is a monumental fountain group in the western forecourt of Buda Castle, Budapest. Alajos Stróbl’s Neo-Baroque masterpiece is one of the most frequently photographed landmark in the Hungarian capital. It is sometimes called the ’Trevi Fountain of Budapest’.

Cruise under the famous Chain bridge, and make marvellous photos from the Danube river!
On the Danube bank, 60 pairs of iron shoes mark where Jews were shot into the river in 1944–45. A nice memorial stop close to the Parliament Building.

Marta was a wonderful tour guide who took us through the Castle district of Budapest. She was extremely knowledgeable, energetic, and passionate about the history of the city and country. We got to see a lot in this tour including the Parliament building which was sold out for months if not for this tour. Her technique in explaining was outstanding! She was exceptional.
