Overlooking the sparkling Aegean Sea, Bodrum Castle is one of the most iconic landmarks in Bodrum. Built in the 15th century by the Knights of St. John, the castle stands as a stunning example of medieval architecture and strategic design. Today, it houses the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, showcasing ancient shipwrecks and treasures recovered from the depths of the sea. With its towers, courtyards, and breathtaking views, Bodrum Castle offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and beauty — a must-see for any visitor.
Located inside the historic Bodrum Castle, the Museum of Underwater Archaeology is one of the most important museums of its kind in the world. It showcases an extraordinary collection of shipwrecks, ancient cargo, and maritime artifacts recovered from the depths of the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas. Highlights include the Uluburun Shipwreck — one of the oldest ever discovered — along with ancient amphorae, glassware, coins, and personal belongings from sailors who lived thousands of years ago. More than just a museum, it offers a fascinating journey through maritime history, ancient trade, and the rich underwater heritage of Turkey.
Perched on the hills between Bodrum and Gümbet, the Bodrum Windmills are iconic symbols of the region’s rural past. Built in the 18th and 19th centuries, these whitewashed stone structures once harnessed the Aegean winds to grind grain for local villages. Today, they offer more than just a glimpse into history — they provide one of the best panoramic views in Bodrum, overlooking both bays and the turquoise sea beyond. A favorite spot for photographers and sunset lovers, the windmills are a peaceful and scenic stop on any Bodrum tour.
Overlooking the city and the sea, the Bodrum Amphitheater is one of the oldest and best-preserved structures in the region. Dating back to the 4th century BC, during the reign of King Mausolos, this ancient Greco-Roman theater once hosted thousands of spectators for plays, ceremonies, and gladiator games. Carved into the hillside, the theater offers not only a journey through history but also breathtaking views of Bodrum and its marina. Today, it still hosts cultural events and concerts, blending ancient ambiance with modern entertainment.
At the end of the day you will have chance to experience a real village-life in Turkey. We would like to introduce you to the local cultural aspects of Bodrum by showing handmade Carpet & rug art.

We were delighted too learn we had just the 2 of us with our guide Ercument who is a retired teacher. The tour was excellent with plenty of time to visit every location. Ecumenical told us the history of every loca iron and then ga c e us plenty of time to explore each venue on our own. Even during the walk through the shopping area he showed us the best places to shop and gave us plenty of space and time to browse at our own speed. A really good value, fun, and educational tour

Our tour was nice. We were taken to a beautiful amphitheater, an ancient castle and some windmills. However. our guide did not have very good English and the tour itinerary I received when booking said lunch was included but our guide told us it was not. Saw interesting sights but was generally disappointed.
Thank you Mustafa for coordinating the tour and thank you for all the help. The tour was amazing and Mustafa was really helpful and customized the tour based on our preferences ❤️❤️
