Top! Great driving! All beautiful. We had a great time amazing landscapes. To be redone. And Daniele is too strong!!!!!
This was a highlight of our eight-day stay in Puglia. Annalucia was a most lively and informative guide, and speaks excellent English; she took us on a leisurely three-hour cycle tour (with plenty of breaks) to see ancient olive trees and a dolmen (ancient rock formation), taste delicious fresh figs straight from the tree, and wild rocket straight from the ground. Water was provided and the bikes were good quality. We learned lots about Puglia, olive oil production and the local landscape. After the cycle tour she took us to an olive oil production plant where we tasted several oils and learned about what to look for in good olive oil. We also briefly toured the production facility and had the opportunity to buy some reasonably priced olive oils. The whole thing was highly enjoyable, illuminating and memorable.
Thanks a lot for share your experience and use so sweet words
An unforgettable moment in Les zpouilles. I saw witnesses of the paleo, I received incredible information about the Olive Tree and its history. Marco’s English was perfect! My bike was in perfect condition! Really recommend this tour!!!!
Great tour with Marco through scenic olive groves and quiet, flat lanes. Fascinating local history, an interesting olive factory visit, and excellent-value olive oil at the coop. Highly recommended!
We have made a wonderful bike tour with Marco, who was very patient with us when choosing the right bike, he even had a tandem and extra bags for the bikes so we could easely take our stuff with us. He also provided water and during the tour, he explained a lot about the history of the region, which made the tour very interesting, even for our kids (13 and 12 years old). The tour was nice and not to heavy for us, we even biked through a field of olive trees! Marco could explain the production process very well and the tasting of olive oil was fun, we loved it! Mille grazie Marco!
Very special to see the ancient olive trees. Everything you want to know the Guide tells you. Ending up in the olive oil ‘factory’ where you also learn to taste makes a well spent morning
The tour operator should have canceled the tour based on the weather. The clients were driven around so no biking. They were not given lunch nor did they go to Domen di Montalbano. The women was nice and drive them back to port.
One of the BIG highlights of our 8 days in Puglia. Our leader Daniale (sp?) was knowledgeable, personable and passionate about the history and culture of olive groves of Puglia. He was a great teacher and the pace was just right. Our advice: do it!!
Daniele is an excellent tour guide who was very accommodating to our group. He had excellent English, which is rare in this area. The area is beautiful and his presentation skills made the tour very interesting.
Now that we're back in NY and thinking fondly of our days in Puglia, one of our favorite memories is the bike tour with Daniele. Super attuned to what we wanted to do ...and made that match our skill level:) Beautiful ride through a park, with the reward of gorgeous sea views...it's what we came to experience, and this was a perfect morning.
Thanks Elizabeth to cycle with us. A presto, Daniele
