My partner Ty and I had such a lovely experience on this tour from start to finish. Everything was smooth, welcoming, and thoughtfully done. Our driver, Mustafá, made the trip to the Atlas Mountains calm and enjoyable. He regularly checked in to make sure we were comfortable and asked whether we wanted to stop for bathroom breaks or to take photos along the beautiful route. He was very informative, and we learned a lot from him about Morocco, its culture, and the country overall. He even treated us to Moroccan coffee and kindly took beautiful photos of us with the Atlas Mountains in the background on the way to the hiking meeting point. Once we arrived, Mustafá dropped us off directly with our hiking guide, Hassan, who was also incredible. He took his time guiding us through the route, shared information about the nearby villages and local culture, and made sure we had plenty of opportunities to stop and enjoy the stunning scenery. He was also kind enough to take beautiful pictures of us throughout the day. Hassan then brought us to the cooking class location, which was in a beautiful home in the village with amazing views of the Atlas Mountains. We made chicken tagine, and it was such a special experience. Since the cook did not speak English, Hassan translated everything for us and guided us step by step, including what to do, how much spice to add, and how different spices are used not only in cooking but for other purposes as well. We also learned more about the customs and everyday life in the villages around Asni. While the tagine cooked, Hassan showed us how Moroccan tea is prepared. He demonstrated the different tea leaves and explained the preparation process, which was such a nice touch. We then enjoyed the tea together, and once the tagine was ready, we shared the meal—it was absolutely delicious. After lunch, we continued the hike and got to see even more of the village, its people, and the surrounding nature. Everyone we encountered was kind and friendly. We eventually hiked to a beautiful waterfall and enjoyed the fresh air and views the entire time. Again, Hassan was so generous in taking wonderful photos for us on our phone, and we are very grateful for that. At the end of the hike, Hassan took us directly to meet Mustafá again, and Mustafá drove us back to our requested drop-off point near our riad, which was very helpful since cars cannot easily access the exact location. We had given a specific meeting and drop-off point, and everything was handled perfectly. Overall, this was a fantastic experience for the two of us. We felt well taken care of throughout the day, learned so much, saw breathtaking scenery, and made wonderful memories. A big thank you to Mustafá and Hassan for making this day so special. Highly recommended.
