Enjoy a private tour to the islands of Ilha Grande in Angra do Reis. We begin with an early pickup in Rio de Janeiro to go to Angra dos Reis. Angra is Portuguese for 'small bay' and it is part of a grand complex of bays and hundreds of islands. The Ilha Grande is the most beautiful and famous of all the islands and that’s the place we visit in this tour. When we arrive at Angra dos Reis, we go straight to the harbour to take a boat trip through the archipelago of Ilha Grande and stop at 3 different parts of it. We swim, do some snorkeling, admire beautiful islands, see the crystal-clear water and appreciate the green colors of the islands' Atlantic rain forest. If we are lucky, we will be able to see some turtles and a lot of fish. Really enjoyed this trip, nice to get out of the city and experience a different location that is stunning, everything was organised perfectly for us no hassle.
This is an amazing experience if you’re up for a two hour drive (one way) outside the City. Literally the best part of our trip, warm waters and swimming with the tropical fish. My recommendation is that you book a Private Tour - Wagner was our guide, he was such a delight. Get snorkelling gear and a camera to record all the species you encounter.
Beautiful blue waters and lush, tropical islands to see as you drift by on the boat. The 2 hour plus drive from Rio was no bother for me as I dozed most of it! The water was warm and plenty of fish came as the guys fed them.

This is a full day excursion. It takes about 2.5 hours each way to drive to the boat. It is a long drive with a lot of traffic through Rio. Our guide, Adonai, made it easier by pointing out different stuff along the way.Once we got on the boat, it was amazing; the beautiful emerald water dotted with islands. We drove through the islands, stopping at small, secluded beaches for swimming and snorkeling (so many fish). Lunch was at a small restaurant on a beach. Then back on the boat to the port. Ask in all, it was a great day!
