Private Altun Ha Maya Archeology & Belize City Shore Excursion.

Age/Adrian was a great tour guide. He had so much knowledge of the area, its people's, history, the culture. He drove safely while showing us points of interest. I was surprised to see the mix of English and Caribbean culture. The area was much nicer than many we’ve seen on our cruise. The ruins were not as big as some of the others we’ve seen but were very manageable especially in the heat. We could climb to the top of several. We stopped along the way to try a local beer and visited a local wine producer. The Belizean lunch that was included was not big but was well prepared and delicious. The guide made an effort to get to know us and provide us with an individualized experience. Would recommend.

Our guide Fredrick was very knowledgeable and it was fun knowing he was related to everyone around the ruins.

We had a fantastic tour of Belize City and Altun Ha with Frederick. We got an upgraded van to hold our luggage since we were going on to San Pedro later that day. Frederick had so much information about Belize City and the Mayan history. He took us to a great lunch spot after the tour and took us directly to the ferry.

Linsdale @ bzewildcaribbeantour.com is the best!! He has been our guide on 3 separate occasions now and feels like family. We were looking for someone for private tours that could be flexible on timing and take us to do exactly what we wanted to see with tight schedules. Linsdale was able to help us every step of the way. Great communication, the best tour guides, safe driving, nice vehicle, local connections, and safe environment (he is a police officer/detective). Whatever you want to do - tour ruins, float the caves, etc., he knows where and when to go to avoid the tourist traps and guides that have a ton of information. Great trip for anyone, including families and groups.

We can't thank Linsdale enough as the time we spent with him was the highlight of our cruise especially for my partner's 82-year-old father! Linsdale went out of the way to ensure we were all comfortable. The guide he engaged at the Altun Ha ruins - Frederick - was also wonderful and very knowledgeable about Mayan culture. We very much enjoyed our time with him and look forward to returning to Belize and seeing him again!

Wow, what a trip. Lins made our day in Belize and all worked good with the communication beforehand and Meeting up. Sadely for Lins a group of other people cancled so we had the privilege to explore Belize town and Maya with him alone. It was great fun and very informativ. So can highly recommend this Tour, Lins will take extra care of you so that it will be an unforgetable day. Thanks for a wonderful time!

We really wanted to visit the Mayan ruins on our trip to Belize, but most tours started at 8:30am or earlier. We only had one day in Belize City, so our schedule was pretty tight for a tour. I found Belize Wild Caribbean Tours through Trip Advisor and saw the excellent reviews. I gave them a call and spoke to Lins. He was very accommodating, especially since I called the day before I wanted to book a tour! He was able to secure a tour guide for us and arrange pickup from our hotel in Belize City. Our tour guide, Fredrick, was awesome! We started the day with a tour through the city and then headed to Altun Ha. Fredrick was very knowledgeable about the ruins and gave us so much insight to the Mayan culture. It was a great tour! We did a little shopping at the artisan market outside the ruins. We scored some amazing souvenirs. After the ruins, we stopped for lunch at a little cafe for a traditional Belizean meal. It was delicious and very affordable. I highly recommend Fredrick and Belize Wild Caribbean Tours. They did not disappoint. 😁

We can’t say enough about this tour and you will not be disappointed in the value and the experience. Linsdale, the owner was our guide and he’s friendly, personable, professional and knowledgeable. We felt very safe as Linsdale is also a detective with the Belize City PD. His communication is excellent and he customized our tour to make the experience perfect for our family. We asked in addition to Altun Ha and the Belize City tour if we could see howler monkeys. A friend of his runs a nearby preserve for howler monkeys and we chose to add this to our tour. It was an extra $10 p/p and some gas and so worth it! Altun Ha we had virtually to ourselves the day of our visit. Linsdale took some fabulous photos of our family and shared what is known of the history of the ruins. The drive to see the howler monkeys was not long and we were taken by the owner/guide Shane on a short walk in the jungle to see the monkeys. I don’t want to spoil the surprise but be prepared to see these monkeys up close. We wrapped up with a tour of the city including a photo stop at the Belize sign ending at the ferry stop to San Pedro. This tour and Linsdale was the highlight of our stay in Belize City/Ladyville. We highly, highly recommend it!

Our tour of Altun Ha with Belize Wild Caribbean Tours was the highlight of our week in Belize (which was full of highlights). Our guide was a friendly, good communicator with deep knowledge about the Mayan ruins, Belizean food and culture, Belize City, and every other topic we had questions about. Unlike most tours in which you are trapped in someone else’s perspective, pace, and preferences, our tour with Belize Wild Caribbean Tours was different. Our guide personalized the tour to suit the interests and needs of the individuals in our group. We did things that, according to our guide, he'd never done before, and we even had enough time for a leisurely lunch at a local restaurant. There is no way we would have seen so much on our own. Our tour was even more impressive considering I'd only booked it the night before. Overall, our experience in touring Altun Ha was exceptional, but bring sunscreen and insect repellant and be prepared to walk up some large, awkward stairs.
