Enzo was our guide and Giovanni was our driver. We had a great day touring Castelmola and Taormina. We first drove to Castelmola and toured the town and shopped. Enzo told us all about Mt Etna. Then we drove to Taormina and walked around the town and toured the old theatre. After that we drove to the beach and had lunch and swam in the sea. It was a great day!

This was a beautiful tour of Castelmola and Taormina. Castelmola is a picturesque village that looks like it's out of a movie -and you can see Mt. Etna smoking in the background. Our guide walked us around the village and we got some delicious gelato. Then we went to Taormina and it was cute but we only saw the main street and didn't have time for the Greek Theater. We wanted to stop at a beach bc it was almost 100 degrees that day, and the guide had no idea where to take us, and didn't seem very keen on taking us to a beach. We were traveling with 6 kids and they needed to cool off in the water. We finally made it to a beach on our drive back to the ship but could only stay for 15 minutes because of a jellyfish and the time. It would be great if the guide was more flexible.
Thank you very much Estelle! Sometimes it´s complicated because there are a lot of wonderful places to visit and our guides always try to show you everything.
