Itinerary
Kasbah des Oudayas is one of Rabat’s most iconic landmarks, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the Bou Regreg River. This ancient fortress dates back to the 12th century and is famous for its blue and white painted houses. Walking through its narrow streets feels calm and authentic. From the viewpoint, you’ll enjoy one of the best panoramic views in Rabat.
Located inside the Kasbah des Oudayas, the Andalusian Gardens offer a peaceful escape from the city. Designed during the French period, the garden is filled with orange trees, palm trees, and colorful flowers. The sound of fountains creates a relaxing atmosphere. It’s a perfect place for photos and a short break during the tour.
Rabat Marina is a modern and lively area along the Bou Regreg River. It offers beautiful views of both Rabat and Salé, with boats, cafés, and restaurants along the waterfront. This area shows the modern face of the city. It’s a great stop to enjoy the contrast between historic Rabat and contemporary life.
Hassan Tower is one of the most important historical monuments in Rabat. Built in the 12th century, it was intended to be the largest mosque in the world at that time. Today, the unfinished minaret and the rows of stone columns create an impressive site. It represents Morocco’s rich Islamic history and architectural ambition
The Mausoleum of Mohammed V is a masterpiece of Moroccan craftsmanship. It houses the tombs of King Mohammed V and his sons. The building is decorated with white marble, green tiles, and detailed carvings. Royal guards in traditional dress stand at the entrance, adding to the solemn and majestic atmosphere.
Chellah is an ancient archaeological site combining Roman ruins and medieval Islamic history. Surrounded by nature, it feels calm and mysterious. You’ll see old walls, tombs, gardens, and stork nests. Chellah offers a unique experience where history and nature blend together beautifully.
The Royal Palace in Rabat, the official residence of the King of Morocco, is one of the city’s most important landmarks. Visitors can admire its impressive gates and surroundings from the outside, while interior access is restricted and only possible with a licensed guide under special arrangements. The site reflects Rabat’s role as the political capital and offers insight into Morocco’s modern monarchy.
Villa des Arts is a cultural space dedicated to contemporary Moroccan and international art. The villa hosts rotating exhibitions, paintings, and sculptures. Its elegant architecture and peaceful garden make the visit enjoyable. It’s an excellent stop for travelers interested in culture and modern creativity.
The Old Medina of Rabat is authentic, lively, and less crowded than other Moroccan medinas. Walking through its streets, you’ll discover local shops, traditional crafts, and daily life. It’s a great place to see how locals live and work. The medina offers a genuine and relaxed atmosphere.

What a pleasant, comfortable way to see Rabat’s main sights, in a quiet “tick tuk.” Rabat is such an elegant, graceful, calm city—this is better than walking or in a car. Soufian, the guide, gave historical facts and explanations of Moroccan culture, like what old designs on the old Medina doors meant. He answered my questions thoughtfully. À very memorable 4 hours. Thank you, Soufian!

Tuktuk driver was traveling in slow motion. Approximately 50% driven by the mentioned travel program. Instead of 4 booked hours, the driver declared the “experience” over after 3 hours!
