Stressful trip.

The hotel is very bad, missed hot water, horrible manja coffee. They chose non-conjugated seats on the bullet train for my wife and me. There should be some way of indicating how to proceed in interconnections between stations, because for people who are not used to traveling by train it is a bit complicated (for example at the station in Chengdu, to go to the other line, it is not so simple, especially if you do not speak Chinese. They should have us put in the seat for 2 perssoas and not us bamcos with 3 passengers or separated by the hallway. The guide speaks nothing of English, communication very difficult. The guia.nunca accompanied us on the tours, and gave no tips on which points are good and which are not good.

Operator response

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We sincerely regret that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we would like to clarify the circumstances regarding the coordination of your trip. Communication Challenges Our team attempted to reach you via phone, WhatsApp, platform messaging, and website customer service starting ten days prior to your departure. Unfortunately, we were unable to establish contact through any of these channels. It was only on the night before your trip that we managed to locate you through your hotel to provide the necessary train schedules and travel details. Because of this last-minute connection, the detailed itinerary and instructions had to be handed over by the driver the following morning. Service Scope: Driver vs. Guide We would like to clarify that the package booked is a self-guided tour with written instructions. The person assigned to your group was a professional driver, not a licensed tour guide. While the driver ensures safe transit, the "guided" portion of this specific itinerary is provided through the written materials we prepared for you. Hotel and Logistics Regarding the hotel issues (hot water and breakfast), we contacted the management immediately upon receiving your feedback to demand corrective action. We understand that the cold weather made the lack of hot water particularly distressing. Had we been able to reach you in the weeks leading up to the trip, we might have had more flexibility to adjust arrangements or provide earlier warnings regarding local conditions. Train Seating Regarding the bullet train seating, assignments are subject to the railway's real-time availability. While we always strive to seat groups together, the late confirmation (due to the communication gap) significantly limited the seating options available at the time of booking. We appreciate your understanding of these operational challenges. We take your feedback seriously and will use it to improve how we bridge communication with international guests in the future.
