One of the oldest districts of Lisbon, and is a delightful maze of narrow cobbled streets and ancient houses, which lead up the steep hill from the Tejo Estuary to the castle.
The Monument to the Discoveries (Padrão dos Descobrimentos) stands 52 m tall and was designed to commemorate the Age of Discoveries in Portugal.
No expense was spared when they built this masterpiece of Manueline and Gothic architecture in 1502, which was inspired by Vasco da Gama who is buried here among other great explorers.
Built on the northern bank of the Tagus between 1514 and 1520 as part of the Tagus estuary defense system, the Tower of Belém is UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We did the airport pickup and 2-hour tour of Lisbon and I highly recommend. We only had a half day in Lisbon, so this was a fantastic way to see more of the city than we would have been able to otherwise. Our guide was local and extremely knowledgeable about the city. My kids asked about graffiti and then he drove us to see some amazing graffiti art….and I can’t believe how much he knew about it. Fantastic tour!
Beautiful relax city ,kind people,delicious foods but a little bit expensive according to what we have heard from Portugal.

The driver was very nice and informative. Took us to all the locations that were suggested and I was able to personalize it. I had requested to go into a few areas and because there were such long lines and tickets werent pre purchased we had to forgo those attractions. Although she told us were good tastings were it would have been nice if she escorted us in and allowed us to experience them. She did take us to the XL market that we enjoyed and that was an extra. But basically dropping us off and than meeting up again so for the price I expected a more personal tour with tastings and spending more time with us or getting tickets ahead of time based on best places to see which we would have paid extra for. If you dont care for hop off buses this was a nice option but more money. I would def use this service again for airport pickups.
