We are committed to raising awareness about conservation and ethical elephant tourism, a key part of our elephant care philosophy. Since 2017, we have dedicated ourselves to working with elephants as tour guides at our elephant care facility. This journey has provided us with invaluable experience and knowledge about these magnificent creatures. Our mission at Chiangmai Elephant Care is to create a better future for elephants and ensure their happiness. At Chiangmai Elephant Care, we have seen firsthand the challenges elephants face, such as habitat loss, poaching, and human conflict. Our work in elephant care has taught us how to improve their well-being. With our experience at Chiangmai Elephant Care, we understand the physical, emotional, and social needs of elephants. By studying their behavior and instincts, we create environments where they can thrive. We are passionate about improving their lives through elephant care because we believe they deserve joy, comfort, and freedom.

Pickup Locations & Times
We will pick up you at your hotel's lobby. As we do join tour so it's could be 2-3 hotels to pick up. Between 8-8:30 am. For morning pick up. and 12-12:30 pm. for afternoon pick you. Please be ready at the time that we mentioned. Thank you very much

There are 4 elephants here and all are obviously well treated by the humans here. Our guide/explainer is named Ford. He was happy to share with us. No riding of the elephants or bathing is allowed. Just feeding and viewing. This was a positive experience. I hope you book this experience.

Wonderful half day. From the time of pickup until the end, everything was great. The elephant caretakers are obviously very concerned with the well being of the animals. We were able to help feed and pet the elephants while learning about and just enjoying being with them. We had several hours, so didn’t feel rushed. A very good lunch was served just before heading back to Chiang Mai. Vests were provided to put on over your shirt. Rubber boots were available to borrow as well. This small group tour was a great choice. Definitely would recommend!

Been to other Elephant experiences and this is by far the best I have experienced! The animals are very well cared for. The workers are friendly and attentive. The Pad Thai and fresh fruit were the icing on the cake. Highly recommend!

I had an amazing experience. My guide, Ford, was excellent. And I was very impressed with this particular sanctuary's genuine concern for the elephant well-being. There was a very strict cap on the number of visitors per day so as not to stress the elephants. And I could tell that they were all very happy. Particularly the cute little elephant named Lucky! I was allowed to spend as much time as I wanted observing the elephants. And I interacted with them several times during feeding. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

We visited Chiang Mai Elephant Care and were able to touch the elephants and feed them. I was happy that they had plenty of space and only limited visitors and that they were not taken out of their normal routine. Their caregivers gave us lots of interesting information. Definitely a highlight of my visit to Thailand.

This is truly an ethical sanctuary. They don’t force the elephants to do anything you just follow them around and feed them. Lucky the 2yo is truly a joy and I would come back again.

Appears to be a highly ethical rescue park with massive open spaces and none of the touristy type activities of some parks. Animals all seem highly cared for; appear to have great relationship with rangers. “Lucky” the two year old elephant is hilarious - just a massive puppy. I highly recommend visiting.
