Prague's Jewish Quarter: A Self-Guided Audio Tour

Description
Let‘s set off on a self-guided audio walking tour through Prague’s fabled Jewish Quarter, one of the oldest centres of Jewish life in the world. I’ve spent half of my life in this lovely city and I’ve always been fascinated by its Jewish heritage. You'll take in some of its most important sites, including the Old Jewish Cemetery, its beautiful synagogues, the Old Town Square, the Town Hall Clock and Franz Kafka Square. We’ll also meet some of the illuminating figures from Prague’s Jewish history. Let me share some insight into the Jewish history of Prague, which spans centuries, architectural styles, personalities and, above all, stories. If you have a deeper interest in Prague’s Jewish sites and are planning on a visit to the Jewish Museum, which allows you to enter the Old Cemetery and the synagogues, then this is the best practical introduction to your visit. But please note that this tour does not include entrance fees to any of the sites along the way.

Easy to follow self guided tour! Enjoyed the ability to go at my own pace. The Narrator was good and nice voice.
The walking tour was very convenient and easy to use. It was very informative and I’d highly recommend doing this tour to truly know the rich history of this beautiful city.
The narrative was interesting but we had a lot of issues with the app. It did not follow us and kept telling us we were lost, when we were not lost. We had to keep hitting the forward button in order to hear the next information.....but the app kept interrupting as we walked, telling us we were lost. Make sure you take the walking tour earlier in the day. When we went the synagogue was closed. The tour itself is interesting. Just make sure you have the map pulled up so you have another way to find your way in case the app does not follow you.
Hi there, I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the tour content but sorry that you were unhappy with your experience. It sounds like you might not have had your location permissions on. Since the app uses GPS to guide you, it's important to approve the location permission requests when you start the tour. When you were having technical difficulties, did you contact VoiceMap support via email or telephone? We are contactable by both telephone and email, so if you have technical difficulties, please reach out to us so we can identify what is going wrong. Best, Helene
Absolutely useless, GPS signal didn't work, no clear directions were given We ended up turning it off after 15 minutes.
Hi there, I'm sorry that you were unhappy with your experience. When you were having technical difficulties, did you contact VoiceMap support via email or telephone? We are contactable by both telephone and email, so if you have technical difficulties, please reach out to us so we can identify what is going wrong. We also provide directions to the starting point and a map to the tour on your screen, which is especially helpful if you get a little lost, so we'd recommend having a look at the map if you're uncertain about the route in future. Best, Helene
Removing the criticisms of the historical moment, one cannot fail to visit the Synagogues present in Prague. The most beautiful in my opinion is the Spanish Synagogue
I feel we should get a refund! two of us paid and there was no way that we found to share the the code . In addition, I was able to access the first stop, however, we weren’t able to follow the map in order to get to the next site. We ended up not using it and buying an audio tour through the Jewish quarter. We are very upset with how this particular tour was handled Ed! How do we get a refund for something we were not able to use?

Learned some new facts but personally did not find this that useful as we went into the synagogues, and that part is skipped over in the tour and then it gets all annoying with the app. Would recommend if you are not interested in entering the synagogues.
Hi there, I'm sorry that the content wasn't as informative as you hoped. Thank you for your honest feedback, as this helps us ensure that tour content remains valuable and that improvements can be made over time. After you paused the tour to enter the synagogues did you tap 'Resume' to start the tour again? This function makes it easy for you to stop and start the tour when you want to take a break or head into an attraction along the way. Regards, Helene
Great information and great directions in the Prague Jewish Quarter. The map included in the tour was accurate and helpful.
This was a great way to learn about the Jewish Quarter! To have an audio tour with an expert but to do it at our pace was awesome. Our guide was informative, easy to follow and understand. The GPS kept us on track and would alert if we went the wrong way. Highly recommend this tour, especially since the Jewish Getto doesn’t really exist anymore. I wouldn’t want to spend money on a long tour.
I feel like a human guide would've been a little better, but this was a great option for last minute, which was our situation. We did get off track a few times. We paid to go into the synagogues which was an additional cost not associated with this tour. That was worth paying for and we did it along with this tour. When you pay for the synagogue tours. They also offer an additional tour that's audio. Since we were already doing this one. We didn't do that one. I don't know if it would have been more informative in terms of the religious aspects and significance. I do know it did not cover as much ground as this tour.
