Prague Eat, Sip and Make Friends on Food Tour by Taste of Prague

Description
Small goups. Big flavours. Real stories. The original Prague food tour by Taste of Prague since 2011, recommended by the NYT. The idea is simple: take you to places you would not have found, order delicious, authentic dishes and drinks you would not have ordered. And tell you things you didn't know you should google. We run this on empathy. We know how precious your vacation time is, so we will not waste it on second-rate food or experience. We will treat your vacation and trip to Prague as if it were our own. So if you want to spend a few hours in the company of well-traveled locals who will serve you must-try foods and drinks and will not resort to tourist clichés because simply our conscience would not let us (and our Czech friends would eat us alive for it), we'll be happy to have you. (Please inform us of your allergies and dietary restrictions in due time. Thank you!)

Itinerary
Just kidding. You will not be seeing the Charles Bridge. No authentic food around it! (Okay, with one exception, but that's it!)
Where social change happens. This avenue is central to Czech history, past and present. We will be finishing the tour very nearby.

The guide was amazing. The food was fantastic! Would recommend but early in travels since the guide gave us information on local transportation, insight if where to eat and buy souvenirs.
Klara was welcoming and charming with obviously a lot of experience. I liked that she had us introduce ourselves which led to great conversations and group interactions. She shared great food and drink (and lots of it!), and stories about daily life in Prague. It was a wonderful experience.
Carolina did an amazing job providing commentary on a variety of eating experiences, and I learned a lot about the food and drink culture of Prague. She had a knack for bonding our group together and we enjoyed each other’s company. The walking was appropriate and a lot was accomplished in our hours together.
Pricey but worth it to have a different spin on Czech food from foodies themselves. We really appreciated the local knowledge and organization of our guide Jan (the taller) who was an excellent host.
Karolina is the best guide we have ever had. Her food tour had the perfect balance of information & enjoyment. Carolina is a dynamo of energy, with a great sense of humour, and we enjoyed the afternoon we spent with her immensely. My favourite location was the bakery, it was sugar heaven. Thank you Karolina, you deserve every star.
We visited 4 different locations with a wide selection of local nibbles - from the more traditional pub style and local beer, to modern Czech and local wines - ending on a sweet note with some pastries and custard. Everything was delicious and Jan was a great guide, sharing some the history of each dish and of Prague itself. 100% recommend.
Jan was very welcoming and encouraged us (5 attendees total) to get to know each other before we began the tour which made it that much more enjoyable. As we tried different cuisines we learned a ton about Czech history and food. He was open to questions and was happy to branch out into many other topics related to The Czech Republic. His experience in the food industry and lifelong time in Prague made him a true expert. He also is an expert at drinking a miliko pour :) The variety and quality of food was top notch.
We had Jan and he was fantastic. He has at least 15 years working in food service and grew up in Prague, so I trusted his taste and local knowledge, and he did not disappoint! I sincerely appreciated everything we tried, from traditional Czech food to the more "elevated" food experiences we got to enjoy. On top of the food recommendations, he was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of his hometown and the Czech Republic in general, so we got to have a better understanding about the context of the food and experience we were having. Lastly, we were given a card with an excellent list of recommendations and an email to summarize what we had experienced that day. I'll be recommending this tour to all of my friends and family thinking of going to Prague.
Great experience of wonderful stops in interesting places while enjoying local food….our guide also included cultural facts and lots of stories of Czech food & of course the beer.
This is a tremendous way to spend a day. Karolina is a highly knowledgeable and entertaining guide and the food - and drink - are tremendous.
