Itinerary
Meeting point: corner of Vladislavova & Charvátova St., at the rotating Kafka head behind Quadrio & Máj. If arriving by tram, you can walk through the shopping centers. Tour starts 9:30 AM. Optional 9:00 AM arrival to see the sculpture in motion.
After our scenic tram ride, we’ll arrive near the magnificent Prague Castle, the largest ancient castle complex in the world. But we don’t just stop for the view — we take our time exploring the charming streets of Castle Town (Hradčany), a peaceful, noble neighborhood often missed by tourists. As we stroll past palaces, monasteries, and hidden courtyards, we’ll share stories of nobles, artists, and revolutionaries who once lived here. The atmosphere feels timeless — cobbled lanes, lantern-lit alleys, and breathtaking views around every corner. At a panoramic viewpoint, we’ll pause to admire Prague in all its glory: red rooftops, the river winding below, and the skyline of spires that earned it the nickname “The City of a Hundred Towers.” Along the way, we’ll also treat you to a few of our favorite local flavors — a traditional Czech pastry or snack, a refreshing craft beer, or a glass of Moravian wine, depending on the season and your preferences.
We will walk through the gates of Prague Castle, the city’s most iconic and majestic landmark. As we walk through the historic castle courtyards, we’ll admire the stunning exterior of St. Vitus Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture and the spiritual heart of the Czech Republic. We’ll share the stories of kings, saints, and emperors who once walked these very same stones — and give you time to take in the atmosphere and the views. To end the tour in royal style, we’ll take you to the elegant Lobkowicz Palace, where we’ll raise a glass of signature Lobkowicz wine (or a soft drink, if you prefer) in a peaceful setting with a view. It’s a moment to relax, reflect, and toast to your unforgettable day in Prague.
A Scenic Tram Ride to Prague Castle – Like a Local, with a View Now it’s time to rest your feet and ride through the city just like the locals do — by tram! We’ll hop on one of Prague’s iconic trams and enjoy a beautiful ride up toward Prague Castle, the largest ancient castle complex in the world. As we wind through historic streets and climb toward the Hradčany district, you’ll get a new perspective of the city — passing charming neighborhoods, parks, and panoramic viewpoints. It’s a moment to relax, watch daily life unfold, and enjoy how Prague moves. Unlike tourist buses, this authentic local experience lets you feel the rhythm of the city — and your guide will point out hidden gems along the way that most visitors never notice. We’ll get off just steps from the castle grounds, ready to explore the majestic surroundings at the top of the city.
Discover Lesser Town & the Famous Infant Jesus of Prague After crossing Charles Bridge, we’ll enter the charming streets of Lesser Town (Malá Strana) — one of the oldest and most picturesque districts in Prague. With its cobbled lanes, quiet gardens, and pastel-colored houses, this neighborhood feels like stepping back in time. Here, we’ll visit the Church of Our Lady Victorious, home to the world-renowned Infant Jesus of Prague. This small statue of the child Christ has drawn visitors and pilgrims from around the world for centuries — not just for its beauty, but for the miracles many believe it has granted. We’ll tell you the fascinating story behind the statue, its Spanish origins, and why it’s dressed in different embroidered robes throughout the year. Whether you’re religious or simply curious, it’s a peaceful and inspiring stop that reveals another layer of Prague’s deep spiritual history.
And because exploring should also taste good, we’ll stop along the way for a sweet local treat — like a cup of rich hot chocolate or handmade ice cream, depending on the season. It’s the perfect moment to pause, take in the surroundings, and enjoy a flavor of the city.
Crossing the Iconic Charles Bridge – Step Into a Fairytale From the Old Town, we’ll guide you onto the legendary Charles Bridge, one of the most photographed landmarks in all of Europe. But with us, it’s more than just a photo stop — we’ll help you feel its soul. As you cross the Vltava River on this 14th-century stone bridge, surrounded by baroque statues and breathtaking views of Prague Castle, we’ll share with you the stories hidden in its cobblestones — tales of kings, saints, battles, and even floods. We’ll pause to enjoy the views, soak in the atmosphere, and of course, snap a few unforgettable photos. Whether it's your first time or your tenth, Charles Bridge always has a new moment to offer.
**End point: Charles Bridge Museum** Your tour concludes at the Charles Bridge Museum, located right next to the famous Charles Bridge. You will board a relaxing river cruise boat, enjoy a drink of your choice and a small refreshment while taking in the views of Prague from the Vltava River. During the cruise, you will have an audio commentary and the captain will also share additional interesting information about the city. The river cruise lasts approximately 45 minutes, plus time for boarding, seating and ordering your drink. We recommend allowing around 30 additional minutes to explore the Charles Bridge Museum. This is the end of your tour, perfectly located close to the Karlovy lázně tram stop and within walking distance of both Old Town Square and Lesser Town. You can continue exploring Prague after the tour using the 24-hour public transport ticket provided at the beginning of the experience.

Hola Astrid y la familia! Muchas gracias por tu recomendacion! Yo lo he pasado muy bien con Ustedes! Ojala nos veremos pronto en Praga otra vez!
Veronika was like having a friend show you their secret favorite spots in Prague. She took us to several awesome vista spots for great pictures as well as wonderful food recommendations along the way. All while highlighting the Dan Brown sites of the tour. She customized the tour to our preferences including just highlighting the Prague Castle because we had a separate in depth tour scheduled the next day. We had a wonderful experience with her leading the way!
Hello there! I loved the first Dan Brown tour ever! It was fun! Thank you for trusting me to take you around and such a nice review!
Our tour guide, Veronica, was terrific! We learned about Prague, history, landmarks, life here. Excellent itinerary and overview. Good to do early in our visit so we could identify where to return. Absolutely fantastic.
Hello Leslie! Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the tour! It’s wonderful to know that you appreciated the itinerary and insights into Prague's rich history and landmarks. Helping guests connect with the city is exactly what I aim for, and I'm so glad it added value to your stay. Wishing you more fantastic adventures, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need recommendations! Warm regards, Veronika
We paid almost EU$200 for this two person tour. The visit to all the sites was good. I think the tour guide should have had more information on the monuments. During our boat trip she decided to stay in the first floor of the boat and we went upstairs on our own. I think she should have offered to go to further explain what we were seeing. Also, the lunch medieval tavern place was amazing but when we asked for an additional water (we ordered two soft sodas), she asked us to pay for it. After paying this much for a private tour, you would think that one bottle of water will be included. Seems odd to me that this happened. She had a beer. We only had sodas. She made several comments insinuating that foreign people should not be in her country and this issue should be also looked into. She was kind to us but these things should be addressed. Thanks!
This review belongs to Prague Budget Day Tours. Thank you very much for sharing your detailed feedback. I’m genuinely sorry to hear that certain aspects of the tour did not meet your expectations. Although I was unable to personally lead your tour due to illness and did not want to cancel your tour in last minute, I entrusted Prague Budget Tour to ensure a high-quality experience that mirrors our usual standards. Regarding your comments: Tour Guide Information: We strive to offer guides who provide engaging and insightful commentary on all sites. I'll make sure to pass on your feedback to our partner to improve their focus on client interaction during all aspects of the tour, including the boat trip. Included Drinks and Additional Water: The tour package includes a set number of drinks (1 beer or soft drink) and a traditional meal at the medieval tavern. Any extra beverages beyond what’s included are indeed billed separately by the tavern, as is common for group dining. I apologize if this wasn’t reminded clearly upfront, since it is written here in our itinerary on Viator and Prague Budget Tours has the same conditions. In the price of the tour is 6 hrs program including 4 hrs walking tour, 1hr boat trip, 1 traditional plate and 1 beer or soft drink. I am sure the price is accurate to what it includes, but I will also share your feedback to Prague Budget Day Tours Cultural Sensitivity: I’m deeply concerned about the comments made regarding foreign visitors. Such remarks do not align with our values, as we celebrate and welcome people from all over the world. I’ll ensure this feedback is taken seriously and addressed with the tour provider. Thank you once again for helping us improve. I hope you enjoyed your time in Prague, and we’d love the chance to host you again in the future with the service and care we are known for.
The whole day was very good and enjoyable atmosphere of Prague was intriguing. When we were picked up at the hotel there was no formal identification as the driver didn’t show any ID of who he was. As we were the only 2 people waiting outside so he beckoned us. At the start, the tour guide introduced herself but again she wore no identification to say she was from the tour company. The tour guide had good knowledge and as expected very proud and patriot. Something to be admired in a person. We wore trainers which was a very good idea for the tour. It would have helped if there was an itinerary provided. The tour guide was very helpful as well.
Thank you very much for your review and tips for improving our service. The itinerary is fully described here, on Viator, where you have booked your tour, and in our flyer. Our tour guides also repeat the program at the beginning of the tour. All of our tour guides are licensed and have the guide´s permit. We will remind our guide to wear it at a visible place. We are very glad you find our tour guide knowledgeable and we hope that you have enjoyed your Prague visit with us.
