Portland's Best Chocolate and Coffee Walking Tour

Description
Portland's chocolate scene is overwhelming; let us navigate you through its origins, passionate makers, and diversity with this walking tour that delves into what some call "decadence" but we call "delight." And we couldn't cover chocolate without the roasted seed of our other favorite tropical berry: coffee! Portland is known as the heart of the craft coffee roasting world, with so many small roasters, coffee lovers that we are, we struggle to taste them all. Our tour hits both the well-known highlights and some of the secrets of the chocolate scene, with a few surprises we don't want to give away. The tour in total is about 2.0 miles (3.5km), mostly flat walking, with tastings of chocolate and coffee -- just the right amount so you'll have the opportunity to truly savor every sip and bite! We keep groups very small, so you'll have an intimate experience with your enthusiastic guides. (Contact us for larger groups or private experiences; we are happy to accommodate!)

Itinerary
We'll walk down through the funky Portland West End and stop at Azar Indulgences, where owner Christine Azar has designed her ideal combination of both handcrafted Belgian-style chocolates from her family's company in Lebanon. Azar's one-of-a-kind chocolates are made in a family tradition going back over a century; we'll taste a selection of our favorite of these chocolates (although to be honest it's so hard to pick!).
One of our usual stops is Less and More Coffee -- we will select other coffee shops on days when hours or group requires! Each coffee shop is chosen to feature the best and most interesting local roasters and baristas
In the Cultural District, we will walk by and describe the art museum and its role in the city’s embracing of craft as we head to one of our favorite coffee shops.
We will stop at a total of two coffee shops, depending on interest and the guide, which could include Behind the Museum Cafe and Less and More Coffee. Here we will get into how coffee is a part of Portland’s every day life and how deeply Portland’s coffee roasters have influenced the city and the world.
Our second chocolate shop is in the Pearl District in Portland. Hours and days vary so this will depend on the group, date and guide!

Quick and informative walking tour filled with Portland's delicious coffee and chocolate. Friendly guides offered different beverage options. Make sure to have water and walking shoes ready to go.
Such a fun tour! Kelly was fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable about the locations we visited as well as the city as a whole. Coffee was amazing at the two locations we stopped at, and the chocolate locations were fantastic - I’m still thinking about them! There are several restaurants I want to check out and places we want to visit (courthouse, library, shops!) based on what we learned while walking between locations. Wear comfy shoes for walking. Highly recommend!
Nancy was our tour guide; she was on time, was friendly, very knowledgeable. We got a bit of Portland’s architectural history. I would love to have her as my tour guide for any other activity in Portland. Highly recommend her!!!!
We really enjoyed the walking tour and learning more about Portland's coffee and chocolate scene. Our guide answered any questions we had and offered recommendations for other dining options as well.
This was a nice leisurely tour with five stops for treats. I loved the recommendations from the tour guide for her favorite items to try. You should have an awesome experience.
This tour was great. The cloud custard iced mocha at Less is More was one of the best drinks I have had. Kellie is fabulous. She's knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly loves her adopted home town. Two thumbs up!
Kelly was fabulous. Very knowledgeable and obviously loves Portland. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to learn about the best coffee shops in the area!
