We had a great time at Caribe Aquatic Park. The theme is fun, everything is well maintained, and it’s really enjoyable for kids. Food and drinks weren’t too expensive either. On busy days the lines can get long, but we were lucky — it wasn’t too crowded during our visit. However, there were some disappointing things. There’s no rapid river or bowl slide (you know, the one that flushes you down like a toilet — those are always a hit). That was a bit of a letdown. Also, the rules around wearing glasses are just bizarre. You're not allowed to wear glasses or even swimming goggles in the wave pool or lazy river. The waves aren’t even strong, so it makes no sense. Lifeguards seemed more focused on checking who wore glasses than actually watching the pool. Strangely, exceptions were made for some people (like women with headscarves) this isn't about race or religion, but why have rules if they’re not applied equally? And while they’re strict about glasses, there’s zero hygiene enforcement. Adults swimming in just underwear, people wearing socks in the water, even sport clothes in the water, all apparently allowed. In short: it’s a fun park, but the nonsense rules and lack of hygiene seriously need to be worked on.
Terrible. The experience was very bad. Still, we had read the bad reviews but wanted to make our own "clean", hoping that the reviews and experience of some is not that of others... We took the bus with Julia Travel, so far no problem, the 1:30 transport is well done and we were on time. Arrived in PortAventura, huge queue of several hundred people: the park does not filter the entrances at all, the aim is to sell as many places as possible. But above all: our tickets did not work!! The QR code provided by tikets but also the scan tickets provided by Julia Travel did not work at the Caribe aquatic park terminal. The employee filtering the entrances did not want to hear anything and tells us to go vaguely "this way" to exchange our tickets. After two very long queues (because of course we made a first queue that was not the right place), the person at the counter did not understand why we only have one QR code for 4 people (which was however specified on the ticket). It was contemptuous and closed, offering no solution. She even replied with contempt that the ticket "costs 42€ here, you know the Award, to have only one QR code?!". This person was really mean, showed no desire to help us and offered no solution while you waited since 1:30 with our two children 6 and 3 years under the sun. I was really outraged at this situation given the Award of tickets, and especially everyone was passing the ball on to each other: call the tiket service app very long and offer nothing!) , call Julia Travel, we can't do anything. I finally got angry and that's how another person scanned the notes and realized they were working. We were able to return 2 hours late to the park, at noon... time to eat.... -The park itself: is good but you did not intend to make the slides for which there were far too many people and therefore long queue. But we tried the "Rio Loco" , where again: an hour waiting to try to have a yellow buoy... nothing is regulated or organized, it is a disorder without name. And then you eat, it's the same mess, knowing you're not allowed to take your own picnic. So the fourth tail of the day begins. My husband after 45 minutes in line finally arrives at the counter to order: another failure because it needed a Ticket! It's not written anywhere, and everyone behind him found themselves in the same situation.... Then start a 5-6th tail to order just a hot dog (fast food) but the service is taken by storm, extremely slow, we waited more than an hour... so we ate at 3:30 p.m. past... and at this time because of all the successive tails, we had just made the Rio Loco one Attraction. Then we were still able to make some swimming pools for the children mainly. Many whistles from the supervisors, for anything and everything: not allowed to have his glasses (for fear of losing them which I can understand), but finally I was just watching my 3-year-old son in the paddling pool, I did not intend to put my head underwater... No, if you want to keep your glasses you must obviously buy in the park the small chain that holds them, at Gold Award. You're not allowed as an adult to ride the little slide with your kids, either. The day was really not a success. The kids were happy anyway, at least that was it. We do not recommend doing this park at all, which is just a poorly organized cash pump, where you have to wait for everything and anything. Here, run away... Do something else...
Dear Marie B, Thank you for sharing this review, I regret to learn about the inconveniences that you had with Port Aventura Caribe Park staff, Please bear in mind, that the Express pass can only be bought directly at the Park, I am glad that you family enjoyed the day, despite the incidents mentioned, Sincerely,
Our son was allowed to choose an outing on holiday, he chose this water park. What should have been a day of great fun was actually a day of frustration. The parking spaces are very far away from the park. Both my husband and I wear glasses. He has -7 and I have +3.5, both decent prescriptions that require glasses to be worn. We were approached in the children's pool and told to buy a strap for our glasses for 6 euros each, so that they would not fall. We did this with the expectation that we could then enjoy ourselves. Nothing could be further from the truth, we were not allowed to wear our glasses on the slide. Which creates scary situations on those high stairs. The lifeguards and teachers were constantly blowing their whistles, almost aggressively. The queues for the food and drink stalls were enormous. The prices very high. The waiting times for the slides were absurd. Never again this water park for us
Excellent water park, lots to do and plenty of places to sit and chill. €5 for Hotdog, €20 meal with drinks. Visit on a weekday is a must!
I strongly advise against this park in August! Far too many people, 1 to 2 hours of queue for slides, unavailable seats, catering is not crazy (tacos not to be taken because expensive and tiny). Regarding prices: 12€ parking / 6€ small locker / 3,50€ drink / 3 to 4€ ice cream / 12€ menu.
Spend 18€ on only on plastic glasses, oficial with refund but no refund was given, For the slides you wait 1,5 hours for one ride in prime time, you can pay the express line another 35€/person (child starting from 0yo) so you reduce the time to 40-55minutes - whorst thing is its because of the bad management of the slides and lines by the personal. The fealing is they dont want you to ride the slides. Personal - nobody knows nothing, dont try to ask someone anything, they dont know. Result: my wife, me and my six years old son spended the whole day there, total cost was about 380€ and totaly NOT worth the money.
AMAZING !!!!!!!!! i have no words. i am speechless it was amazingggggg. the best experience ever. i loved it.
We arrived with our tickets purchased directly with my CE, so very little waiting. There is the queue for the deposits etc... for the waterproof pouches (which by the way are a little expensive, bought it outside the park in the center of Salou for 3/4€) but we did not take any. We install our towels and bags on deckchairs (without paying any extra) and we leave to enjoy the park. 2 adults and 3 children (13, 10 and 6 years). For the meal we find that the prices and food are correct for a park 48 € to 5 for 3 hot dog fries, a Burger fries and a hot dog menu fries with a Coke. Not too much waiting, sensations for everyone. The only black spot for us is the rough ground that hurts in the pools and out of the water. Provide water shoes. We are parked outside to avoid paying 8€50 parking knowing we were still doing Portaventura the next day. You just have to walk 10 minutes along the road. We came home with chips , drinks and cookies without any problems.
Good quality coach, on time. Easy to find the pick up point through the communication sent by the local agent.
The rides were not that great for the time you had to wait in the queue, food was also terrible from the place we bought it from.
