Great tour of Plitvice lakes with Jurica. He is a wonderful guide. He is full of knowledge about his country and loves to share about it. He speaks great English and guided us through the entire park. He accommodated our group to our needs and dropped us off at a different location so we could hear the sea organ. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
George (Jurica) was an excellent tour guide! On time, communication was great, made suggestions to our itinerary due to time. Wonderful day in Zadar!
A wonderful day trip out to Plitvice Lakes NP. We visited Zadar on our cruise and wanted to visit the NP. A private tour was the only way to do it. Our guide was excellent, gave expert commentary on our way to the Lakes and answered any questions we had. Even stoped for us to buy lunch to take with us and showed us bears. Very unexpected but appreciated. Jure suggested a plan for us to see all the main areas in the park to maximize our time there ensuring we were back at our ship on time. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Plitvice Lakes and would recommend this tour.
Spent a fantastic day with our guide Jurica! We made a few stops along the way and picked up some sandwiches to enjoy on the trip to Plitvice. Plitvice was beautiful! Thanks again Jurica for making it a special day!
A great day out -walking, sightseeing and history. A moderate level of fitness required. Spectacular scenery
Great day to the stunning park, lakes and waterfalls. Jure was a brilliant guide, exactly the right pace and the right amount of information for our group. Definitely recommended:)
The was an exceptional excursion with the most knowledgeable and interesting guide, Jure. He drove us about an hour to the national park. The van was clean and comfortable and we felt very safe with Jure’s driving. He spoke the entire time, giving us history and sharing his own love for the area. After several hours at the park, where we were guided completely by Jude, he drive us to the old town of Zadar where we learned even more about this incredible region. Jure was very professional, yet personable and patient with our 7-person group. I can’t say enough about his attention and authentic enthusiasm to share what he knows so well.
Good communication en fantastic guide. Nothing was too much for Jurica! He gave us much info about nature and history and even spoke dutch! We really recommend this tour!
Our tour guide, Jurica, picked us up from the cruise terminal. While driving to Plitvice Lakes, he gave us an informative commentary on the history of Croatia and the surrounding area. Upon arrival to the park, he found a convenient parking spot, then we started on our hike. The area is indescribably beautiful. From the color of the water in the lakes, to the sound of the waterfalls, you feel like you’re in paradise. We didn’t want to leave. On our return journey to the cruise ship, Jurica stopped at a grocery store for us so we could pick up some things. He went above and beyond to make this trip the best it could be. If you love the beauty of nature, this trip is for you.
Eight of us booked a tour to the Plitvice Lakes. We were on the Celebrity Constellation which was in Zadar on May 6. This was easily the best tour of the trip. The scenery was amazing. Jure knows everything about the area, is very personable and his English is excellent. I’ll try to write a brief description. The National Park is about an hour and forty-five minutes from Zadar. The scenery is interesting and beautiful the entire way as you climb up into the mountains, through tunnels and then lush farm land, orchards and vineyards. When you get to the Park, it’s about a 10-minute walk down to the lake. Then a 2-minute boat ride to the other shore, followed by a longer boat ride to the end of the lake. Then it’s perhaps another 10-minute walk to where the waterfalls start. As you go further down into the gorge, the waterfalls get increasingly more impressive, culminating in the Veliki Slap, the tallest waterfall in Croatia. The trail goes right on top of, beside and even through the waterfalls, mostly on boardwalks, so it’s not slippery or dangerous. Finally, you hike up out of the gorge to the bus stop and take the shuttle back to the Park entrance. The entire hike is about 4 miles and there is some elevation, so you should be confident you can do it.
