Ghost stories have a very different kind of charm to lure readers with old forts, ruins of castles, deserted alleys, sinister houses, and abandoned spirits. Lying 21 Km from Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, Kuldhara village has a similar story to tell. At present Kuldhara Village is a heritage site and is maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). As you enter the premises of this ancient village you can feel as if time has stood still in Kuldhara for the last 200 years.
The Indian state of Rajasthan is widely known for its rich forts and palaces. Among its uncountable number of forts, one Khaba Fort is very popular for being one of a kind. Located near the town of Jaisalmer, Khaba Fort is situated in the Khaba village amid the giant Thar Desert. This ruined fort once housed a kingdom in it and was the epicenter of the Kuldhara village. Many tourists visit the place to unearth its history and several mysteries that haunt the village to date. The abandoned houses near the fort are a popular spot for adventure seekers and myth-busters. The broken entrance for the Khaba fort starts near the spooky Kuldhara village. One can see the entire village and the nearby areas from the top of the fort.
Enjoy the magical view of the sunset over the dunes.

Good safari and camel ride. It was pleasant to see so many stars after so long.
Great value for money, lovely experience. Ukka and Kakaji, were so warm and welcoming. My daughter and I opted out of the camel ride and instead helped prepare food ! Fantastic cooking lesson. Ate by a campfire stargazer...breathtaking. 100% recommend Ukka and his team.
We had an amazing experience! Ukka and Bika were fantastic guides; knowledgeable and fun. They took us far away from the crowds into the desert, where they prepared a delicious supper for us under the stars. Next time, we’re definitely booking the two-day tour!
The sunset camel safari was amazing. Ukka and Bika were very great guides and cooked a delicious meal in the desert. Coolest experience in India.
Was a great experience spend the sunset in the desert, also the dinner was all cooked in front of us, and was delicious! Also the camels owner, driver and cooker were nice and very friendly to us, explained how they live in the deserts and shared their culture. We really enjoyed. Highly recommended.
Our sunset safari was excellent. The camels were well behaved but an hour was long enough. On arrival at the sand dunes we had plenty of time to relax and take in the views. The food was very tasty and there was more than enough. Our driver, Ukka, was very friendly and knew the roads and tracks very well.
We had a great sunset trip into the desert. We choose to do it by jeep. We had a stop at an abandoned village then a fort before arriving at the sand dunes. Our 2 guides made us unbelievable food while we watch the sunset. Then enjoyed a beer while watching the stars
The AI Copilot of Microsoft recommended this tour. I can say it was absolutely worth it. The program was great and we felt safe and comfortable at all times, whether on the road, camel or in the dark desert. Thanks to Ukka, Ram and Santosh we had a unique experience that we will not forget so soon. The three guides have spoken good English so far and knew the desert and the roads as locals. The food was excellent.
A beautiful and surprising jeep excursion through absolutely non-touristy places with final destination of the beautiful dunes and without the presence of anyone. The added value of this excursion was undoubtedly Ukka who knows the area perfectly and who with a very good English explained so many details of the area. Even the dinner masterfully prepared by Ukka, former camelman was delicious and plentiful. A tour really to recommend for those who do not like to take the usual sightseeing tour on camels in places crowded with cars and tourists.
Our Guide Ukka accompanied us with the jep to the desert camp where he prepared a delicious dinner. Ukka is very kind and nice, I recommend it!
