Barbara was an amazing tour guide. Her knowledge of art and art history exceeded every expectation we could have had. The Pitti Palace and gardens are both lovely. The Palace is vast and it was perfect to learn about the construction and its inhabitants over the centuries.
Giacomo (Jim) was an excellent guide. He imparted so much knowledge about the art in the Pitti Palace, the families that lived there, the history of the period and the palace itself. It was very interesting and he kept our attention with his many stories. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a pleasure to meet. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon. Anne, Dave, Deb and Jim
Went on a private tour of the palace and gardens with Sylvia. Her education included art history, literature, and languages. Her knowledge base was expansive and she made the art come alive with description. She also was able to tell the story about everything with historical and political facts and information about the Royal families who lived there or had significant impact on the property.
Well managed and smooth experience. Qualified guide adds a lot of value to help us understand the history and details we might otherwise miss.
Caterina made us feel like family. She was awesome in every way. She had in depth knowledge of the Pitti Palace and Boboli gardens and a great sense of passion for her job. We would recommend this company and of course Caterina to all.
Thank you so much Paul, from the bottom of our hearts
Having just a few days to explore Florence, we booked three separate tours of the Uffizi, Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens to make the most of our short visit to this culturally rich city. The Made of Tuscany team were quick to respond to our request and were flexible with creating a custom tour schedule for my family. Our guides, Giacomo and Susanna, possessed an obvious passion for and extensive knowledge of Italian history and art. Natural story-tellers, they provided valuable perspective and context to allow for deeper understanding of the master works we were seeing. We were grateful to have these warm, engaging, experienced guides help us navigate the vast collections, as well as the potentially daunting museum admissions/queue process especially in peak season. For any future travel to the area, I would absolutely contact this team again to help create a more meaningful, memorable visit.
Beautiful palace. Amazing amount of famous art. The garden were hot in the summer but well worth the trip!
The design of the garden was impressive. The tour of the garden was also very good exercise if you like being active. It was also nice to spend time in some green-space as Florence generally seemed to be mostly cobblestone, etc., albeit very beautiful. The pieces by the Renaissance masters in the palace were wonderful.
We had a wonderful time. Our guide Susanna was very knowledgeable and shared lots of information about the palace, the Medici family, and the art collection. The palace is beautiful, full of art treasures. Highly recommended
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and took us to some places that were not very crowded. The palace and the gardens are beautiful and well worth visiting.
