I am a Basque native, in love with my country, culture and gastronomy. And after be working with travelers 7 years, in 2015 I started offering artisan, unique and authentic experiences in my own. Aiming to offer the possibility to enjoy feeling and living, the true essence of the Basque Country, out of the commercial and away from the tourist masses. And this is the best experience I offer ever about making pintxos and probably the most pure that is offered in San Sebastian. If you don’t believe me, came on to Enjoy learning how to make pintxos, while tasting them with local wines, in a very special local place a “gastronomic society”. And after completing the experience, you are not satisfied. I will return you, the amount paid for it. * The gastronomic society : Is where you can experience the region’s gastronomy from first hand. The love of food and social dining is what brings together family groups and friends to cook top quality ingredients with loving care.

We had the best time with Julen learning to make Pinxto in his secret kitchen. The food we made was incredible and he was a great teacher!
We are six friends who took part in the experience as a birthday present for one of the gang. We had great fun and the food was fantastic! Christmas that held the activity offered itself and its skills in a nice and natural way

Great fun and educational workshop in one of the many cooking clubs of San Sebastian. The local cook knew a lot about his city and region and about the background of the pintxos. We went shopping together at the local market and then very relaxed prepared the pintxos and ate it with a drink. A wonderful experience.

Our family of 5 adults attended the Pintxo Workshop and Fest in the secret kitchen. It was a highlight of our Basque Country trip. Our host was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He encouraged everyone to participate in the cooking process. He gave us great advice on activities in San Sebastián!

Julen was an amazing guide and chef! He made our small group experience in the secret kitchen totally exceptional, sharing Basque culture (including private cooking clubs!) and Basque food. We teamed up to prep the food, then sat together to build and enjoy our pintxos and more. Flavors were amazing. We ate and cooked all afternoon and never felt too full. (But definitely don't plan a meal afterwards!) The whole afternoon went well beyond our expectations. Thanks, Julen!

This cooking class was the highlight of our trip. Julen and Lidia were kind, funny, and knowledgeable hosts. It was so cool to experience the “secret kitchen” and to learn how to make different pintxos. The food was insanely good and fresh. We wish we could do it again already!

Julen was a fantastic host, arranging a session for us at the last minute. He provided top quality ingredients for us to create 6 Pintxos which we ate together whilst he filled us in on the history of the area. We had so much fun learning this new skill and look forward to recreating the dishes back in London to impress our friends 😉. Would most definitely recommend

I signed my family up for the Pintxo workshop. It was me, my husband and my two sons. It was an amazing experience, exactly what we were looking for in a basque cooking class. It was so fun as we made 5 different pinxtos along with 1 dessert. The class was held in a traditional “cooking club” which made it an authentic experience. Julen is a talented chef, passionate about basque cooking, and sourcing food locally. Throughout the class he shared a lot of history about basque culture, food, and wine. I would give him and his cooking class more stars if I could. Well worth the money. It will be an experience me and my family will always cherish. Thank you Julen!

Chef Julen is a very good and made this experience fun, informative and very tasty. His knowledge of not only the food but the basque culture and local area made this class special. I highly recommend this experience hands on experience.
