One of the most noteworthy instances is the bioluminescent plankton present in the bay’s waters. These tiny organisms emit a bright blue-green light when disturbed, producing a captivating appearance in the water. The phenomenon is caused by chemical reactions within the plankton, which produce light as a by-product.

Continue to James Bond Island, also called Koh Ta-pu ('Nail Island' in Thai), first found its way onto the international map through its starring role in the James Bond movie, The Man with the Golden Gun (1974). With its signature rocky pinnacle, the entire area surrounding this island is indeed spectacular. Marvel at the breathtaking limestone cliffs and pristine emerald waters as you paddle through hidden caves and lagoons. After an exhilarating day, indulge in a delectable dinner at the renowned Jaja Restaurant on Panyee Island.
After a delicious local dinner you will embark on a magical journey through the waters around Phang Nga bay, where you can witness the incredible natural wonder of bioluminescence and enjoy exhilarating sea canoeing activities. We stop at the first sea canoe exploration location at Phanak Island and Hong island. Glide through the crystal-clear waters on a speedboat, immersing yourself in the enchanting glow of bioluminescent organisms.

Really great tour. Bring a towel otherwise all else is provided. The bioluminescent part was magic. Dinner was good variety. James Bond Island was fun but all of it was great. It's just nice to be on the water and relax. The crew all knew what they were doing.

This is quite a pricey trip but it is absolutely worth it. I went with my 10 & 13yr old and we had an amazing day. It's really well run and the staff are great. Unlike lots of Thai day trips it's very slick, but still really friendly- each visit was the perfect length and we had plenty of drinks/ etc and shade through the day. The food was good in the evening and we did see the bioluminescence- it was worth going- excellent experience and memories made.

Get a good variety of islands. Alex our guide was the best. I would recommend taking water shoes with you and something to cover yourself with for eating in restaurant.

I wish I could rate this place high than 5/5. It was simply incredible. The whole day was absolutely perfect you have to book this trip. You visit paradise and never want to go back. Sadly there were thunderstorms in the late evening so couldn’t go to the beach to see the bioluminescent plankton but my guide took me on a canoe into the caves of hong island where you could see the plankton in the water, it was magical! My guide, San, was an absolute legend. Every time I come back to Phuket I will make sure to meet with him because he is the nicest person in the world. 5starmarine is very lucky to have him!
