Philadelphia Time Agent Quest: Franklin's Revolutionary Mystery

Description
Philadelphia, 1776. Ben Franklin has sent you on a top-secret mission: travel to the eve of the Declaration of Independence and collect the certainties that prove the Republic will survive. His archnemesis, I.Q. Bartholomew, is already here, and he will do anything to stop you. This self-guided city game uses the Questo app to lead you through 11 chapters across Independence National Historical Park. Start anytime at The President's House Site, play at your own pace, and pause whenever you like. No guide, just you, the city, and a mission to save the Republic. Your route takes in some of the most historic ground in America: the Liberty Bell, the Portrait Gallery in the Second Bank of the United States, Benjamin Franklin's grave at Christ Church Burial Ground, the Free Quaker Meeting House, and the National Constitution Center. Suitable for all ages. Comfortable walking shoes recommended. The game ends at the National Constitution Center, a short walk from the start.

One clue-bearing object was moved away, and someone's review have indicated it a year ago. However, the company, having read that review, didn't bother to update. So the object (the boat) is still missing. Another clue location is showing as Arch street meeting house, but it is actually on a Free Quaker meeting house which is 0.1 miles away. I also expected more creativity and a more sophisticated story, better connected to the history. But overall the game is okay, fun enough to get the kids excited and motivate them to walk around.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m sorry to hear about the issues you encountered with the clue locations and the historical accuracy. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve such issues. The clue-bearing object being moved is a concern, and I apologize for the oversight. We take such reviews seriously and will investigate this matter to ensure that future players have an accurate and enjoyable experience. Additionally, I understand that the discrepancy between the listed and actual locations, as well as your expectation for a more intricate story, impacted your experience. Your comments are valuable as we strive to enhance the creativity and historical connections in our games. It’s great to hear that the game still provided some enjoyment and motivated your kids to explore the area. We’re always looking for ways to improve and your feedback will be used to make necessary adjustments. Thank you again for your insights and for playing!
It was a pretty neat idea, executed a little poorly. On the positive side, it was fun hanging out in Philadelphia in the middle of the night seeing some sites and learning some things I didn't know. The game / pizzle format is a great idea, and a couple of the puzzles were fun to solve. On the negative side, the walking directions were a bit hard to follow and had us walking in circles but it would have been more fun if we had a place to get to. The instructions felt like they had been written by AI and maybe not play tested or edited for clarity. Most of the puzzles were kind of weak, silly, or outright random in terms of solution. Also, the back story about running away from Ben Franklin's enemies seemed pretty stupid, and the educational sections were a bit too verbose. Would have been nice if there were more group problem solving elements as it felt like we were basically all doing the puzzles by ourselves. For $8 though it was a reasonably good deal and I like that it was self service so you can do it anytime. I'd do this type of game again but only if the actual puzzles and writing were quite a bit better. Feels like a definite 3/5 for me all told.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the Philadelphia game. We're glad you found it fun to explore the city at night. Your feedback about the instructions, puzzles, and storyline is noted and will help us enhance future experiences. We appreciate your review and hope to offer a better experience next time. Thank you.
Make it clearer that a mirror may be needed for some puzzles. Also one clue with Benjamin franklin’s boat has been moved- is no longer in Thomas Jefferson’s garden. Otherwise this was a great game - I wanted my daughter to enjoy visiting the historical sites and experience them more fully and this game helped with that. She has ADHD and visiting these things are usually unbearably boring for her but the game aspect made her excited to go from site to site.

Great game. We only had a couple hours to visit Philadelphia and got some good information while playing this game which took us about 1 hour. It was also a lot of fun for a couple teenagers with us. Overall great experience. Only regret is not having more time In Philadelphia, we must go back for a longer visit.

Cool and fun game where you read clues and give responses to the atmosphere around you and it moves you forward and through Independence Park and all the history there. Fun for solos, for couples and families
