8.00: Start from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter Area or at the meeting point is 162 Tran Quang Khai streeet, pick you up to start the journey. Perfume pagoda is about 60 km away in the South West of Hanoi. The driver would take you to enjoy the countryside before you reach the pagoda.
10.00 : Start the sampan ride on the Yen River for about 1 hour to Thien Tru Harbour. Meander downstream past mysterious caves nestled in a landscape of limestone mountains. In the journey of exploring Huong (Perfume) Pagoda, Trinh Temple - Thien Tru Pagoda - Huong Tich Cave are 3 main tourist stops attracting the attention of both domestic and international tourists. After celebrating at Trinh Temple, tourists continue their trips down Yen Stream along with the ferrymen to go to the second stop, namely Thien Tru Pagoda, also known as Heaven Kitchen Pagoda. Over time, Thien Tru Pagoda has been adorned the drawings for the magnificent natural picture thanks to unique architectural works. Discovering Thien Tru Pagoda is definitely one of the most unforgettable things to do in Hanoi. Then guests will have lunch meal with vietnamese dishes at local restaurant.
After lunch, guests will enjoy your trekking time up and down visiting the main Cave namely Huong Tich which is located on the top of the mountain. Huong Tich cave have been rated as the nicest & most beautiful cave in Vietnam. The Perfume Pagoda area is beautiful. One nice aspect of the tour is we were the only group of about 12 visiting because it is the off season. Minh, our excellent guide, could focus on us with detailed explanations of the history / mythology of this #1 pilgrimage spot in VN. He also lives in the area and had amazing anecdotes. The lunch at Nha Hang Mai Lam was made fresh to order only for our group and was delicious. Must visit
