Penang’s Harmony Street, officially known as Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling, exemplifies Malaysia’s multicultural harmony. Drive along this single street to see four major religious landmarks stand side by side: start with St. George’s Church (Christianity), then Goddess of Mercy Temple (Taoism), followed by Sri Mahamariamman Temple (Hinduism) and then the Kapitan Keling Mosque (Islam). This close proximity of diverse places of worship symbolizes Penang’s long-standing religious tolerance and cultural coexistence.
Lithuanian artist Ernest Zacharevic is leaving his mark with beautiful wall painting of children all across historical Georgetown. The artworks are funny, fascinating, and very much open to everyone’s interpretations. Drive around Old George Town to see and snap a photo or two of magical street arts created by Ernest like “Children on Bicycle”, “Boy on Motorcycle”, “Boy with pet Dinosaur” and “Climbing Wall” and other artist's work like "Welcome Cats", "Reaching Out", "Children on Swing" and "Children and Basketball".
Busy, scenic destination featuring a traditional village of rustic houses on stilts over the water. A full day with varied activities to keep everyone interested. Max was a wonderful guide, we had pretty bad weather but he changed the activities seamlessly to suit our group. Max was unbelievably knowledgeable about the places we visited and both history and current life in Penang. He was able to keep all members of our group interested throughout. We were very impressed with the whole day, we loved the food from the hawker centre and there were choices to please the fussiest of children. Thank you Max for a wonderful day.

Having limited time in Penang, I booked a private tour. My driver/guide, Mr. Eng Choon Wooi, provided comfortable transportation and interesting commentary at my chosen destinations, the Kuan Yin temple and Penang Hill. He also found a great local vegan lunch spot, and we had time after that to see the Peranakan museum. I relaxed while Eng waited in line to buy tickets or went to fetch the car. He knew the best routes to take and the best photo spots, and answered my questions about life in Penang. I'm glad I booked this tour.

Great private tour. I would recommend doing this private tour on day 1 and then you can explore Penang on your own or do other activities like food tour. This private tour gives you opportunity to explore the town in your own pace. Guide was amazing and very knowledgeable. I did this tour on 6/16/2026.
