Pedra do Telégrafo Hiking & Relax in a Wild Beach
Description
Pedra do Telégrafo is located in the west side of Rio de Janeiro. The rock has a nice view of the beautiful city, in on one side we see wild beaches and the Tijuca National Park. On the other side, we have a wonderful view of the Marambaia, a huge beach with big swamp area. The hiking takes approximately 1 hour to climb(one way), its summit is 354 meters above sea level. Returning from Pedra do Telégrafo to the city we will stop for a bath and relaxing at Grumari(one of the most beautiful beaches in Rio) and after we will drive trough all the beaches along the coast of Rio with many opportunities to take photos.

Rio Natural tours blew me away. They were extremely communicative on WhatsApp and very accommodating. I had another event to attend and they were able to squeeze me in. The team picked me up directly from my Hotel and escorted us safely throughout the park. It was a tough hike but through the guides help, he made it easier. I would book them Over and over. We had a blast ! Beware this is not a “cute” hike , this is a real hike that’s requires physical activity! Bring your water and bug spray. Our tour guide was great. The views at the top are unmatched. Will book again.

Definitely got my workout in on the hike but it was worth it! I wore sneakers for the hike but if you have hiking shoes wear those! And bring bug spray.

I had a really good time enjoying this iconic spot almost all to myself! (in the afternoon during low season) Also learned lots of fun facts from my guide Sylvio. Highly recommend this trip, especially if you're are visiting Rio during low season. Just bear in mind the hike is short but high difficulty.
