Itinerary

Admission included120 min

Our Peanut Island Sandbar & Soak cruise is all about kicking back and enjoying the best of the Palm Beaches from the water. We cruise the scenic Intracoastal Waterway before stopping in shallow, crystal-clear water near Peanut Island, where the real fun begins. Once we drop anchor, it’s time to get in, cool off, and relax. Float alongside the boat, lounge on our oversized water mats, or grab a paddleboard and explore at your own pace. While we’re anchored and cruising, your captain will share a lightly narrated overview of Peanut Island’s fascinating history, including stories of its past and the famous Kennedy Bunker—just enough to add some local flavor without taking away from the laid-back vibe. This is a BYOB experience for guests 21 and over. Bring what you like, settle in on the floats, and enjoy one of South Florida’s most iconic sandbar-style hangouts the way it’s meant to be enjoyed—on the water, at your own pace.

Too expensive for what you get

It was fun; however, paid a lot for what was basically a ferry ride to the island.

Operator response

Thank you for coming out with us and for sharing your feedback. We're happy to hear you enjoyed your time at Peanut Island, though we're sorry the experience didn't meet your expectations for value. Our tour includes a licensed captain, crew, paddle boards, and the convenience of visiting one of the area's most popular destinations without the hassle of paid parking or driving your own boat rental. There is a shuttle directly to the island but it does not provide a luxury catamaran, paddle boards and the experience we provide, so we respectfully disagree about our price. We are also the lowest priced charter excursion to peanut island in the area. That said we still appreciate your comments and are always looking for ways to improve our service.

Great time. We are a little older, so an extra step would have been nice to get off and on the back of the boat at the sand bar. Was fun to watch grandkids enjoying snorkeling and trying the paddle boards.

Try not for the weekend.

Great trip. If you can plan your trip to not go on the weekend your trip would be more enjoyable. We went on Sunday and the water was packed!!!! I heard the week is way less crowded. We paddle boarded and had a great time. Very enjoyable.

Very bad !

Pure! Very bad ! Very Nice team but a fast trip to parking the boat in the horrible place full of boats next to the "boat traffic highway" on a place where all the deep sea are died and the water full off oil from the boat engines! Better use the cheap regular transfer boat to the isle and faund a place on the sand near to amazing snorkeling place with a lot of life , fish, plants, coral and a good sand beach. HORRIBLE! VERY NICE STAFF!

Operator response

We're sorry you felt that way and appreciate your kind comments about our staff. What stands out to us is that on the very same trip, we received eight separate 5-star reviews from other guests, and yours was the only negative review. That doesn't mean your opinion isn't valid, but it does suggest that your expectations may have been different from the experience we offer. Our Peanut Island excursions are designed as social sandbar and island experiences where guests can swim, relax, enjoy the scenery, and spend time on the water. While many guests enjoy snorkeling and exploring the island, we cannot control water conditions, boat traffic, tides, weather, or environmental conditions on any given day. For travelers seeking a self-guided snorkeling adventure focused entirely on exploring the island, a water taxi may indeed be a better fit. Our experience is intended to be a boat excursion and island outing rather than a dedicated snorkeling tour. We're glad to hear our crew treated you well, and we're sorry the trip did not meet your personal expectations. We wish you safe travels and hope you enjoy the rest of your time in South Florida.

The worst customer service I have ever received in this country.

I was turned away before starting; they took us off the boat because they said we were not on a list even though we had the reservation in hand, and they threatened to call the police while we were just calmly sitting, waiting for what would be a pleasant trip. Very disappointing.

Operator response

We're sorry you were disappointed, but there is another side to this situation that should be shared. Prior to the trip date, we informed you that we could not locate a valid reservation for that departure and advised that the boat was already sold out. Despite this, you arrived and boarded a vessel that was at capacity with guests who had confirmed reservations. We do not ever take more people than our Coast Guard inspection allows. That is the law. The issue was not that you were "not on a list." The issue was that we did not have a valid reservation for your party for that departure, which you were already told previously. When asked to leave so the trip could depart on time for the other guests, you refused to do so. As a result of your actions, the trip departure was delayed for more than 30 passengers who had booked correctly. Law enforcement was mentioned only after multiple requests to leave the vessel were refused. Our responsibility is to operate within our legal passenger limits and to honor the reservations that appear in our system. If there was an error involving a third-party booking provider, we understand how frustrating that can be. However, we had already informed you before the trip date that we could not find a reservation for that departure and that no additional seats were available. Showing up anyway did not create seats on a sold-out boat. We wish you the best, but we stand by the actions taken to protect the experience of the guests who held valid reservations.

Best charter ever!!

4 of us did a friends peanut island day!! We came with a lot of stuff.. floats, floating cooler. This was their first time to peanut island, I’m a regular. It was one my best experiences. Boat was great. It was a full boat with a batchelorette party and a large family and we all got along great!! We left on time and the boat supplies water, floaties and paddle boards. The crew including mike helped us aboard and helped us load our stuff into the water. They were fun and accommodating. We will definitely be doing it again.

Misleading Description

We were misled by the tour providers' description. It states: "This is a BYOB experience for guests 21 and over." To our surprise, we were surrounded by 12 children, including infants, with their families to celebrate their kid, Parker's, 5th birthday. The kids were running around the boat during docking, screaming, fighting and crying at times, parents yelling, kids blocking the ladder. We wanted a relaxing afternoon and this was anything but. The crew was fine, the experience would have been fine, if not for the commotion. It just was NOT as advertised, so buyer beware. Very disappointing.

Operator response

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the atmosphere on your trip did not meet your personal expectations. To clarify, our Peanut Island tours are public excursions and are not advertised as adults-only. While the trip is BYOB for guests 21 and over, families with children are welcome aboard unless a private charter has been booked. Safety is always our top priority, and our crew monitors guests during boarding, docking, and swimming activities. We are glad to hear you found the crew professional and that you otherwise enjoyed the experience. For guests seeking a more private or adult-focused outing, we do offer private charters that provide complete control over the guest list and onboard atmosphere. Thank you for sailing with us, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify this for future guests.

Excellent day on and in the water!

Thanks for a great time on the water Monday 6/8. The staff on board did an excellent job and were very helpful with any questions that we had. It was the perfect amount of time to anchor at Peanut Island, the weather and water was excellent. We'll surely do it again when on vacation here.
