Pashupatinath Evening Aarati: Few Divinely Hours in Kathmandu

Description
Aarati (Arati) Pooja at Pashupatinath temple is an extraordinary cultural experience one can witness in Kathmandu. This event takes place every evening at around 6:00 PM - 7:00PM depending on season and lasts for an hour. Our guide and driver will meet you between 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM at your hotel to take you to this mesmerizing event. Besides Arati and Pashupatinath temple, the tour includes observing cremation ceremony on the bank of holy Bagmati River and visiting other monuments within the surrounding area. The Aarati Pooja is basically a day closing ceremony offering light, flower, incenses and other objects to Lord Shiva to whom the temple is dedicated to. The Ceremony is led by Hindu Bramhin Priests amidst the live Bhajana (devotional songs) joined by hundreds of devotees. As the first team to list this unique cultural event to the travelers, we assure you a deeply memorable cultural experience from this short evening stroll in Kathmandu.

This is one of the best experiences for Kathmandu Amber our guide was very helpful and caring. He made sure we are comfortable and very cared for. Highly appreciated and recommended. It’s a great experience because of Amber and his company Three Jewels Adventures
"It was a wonderful tour with tour guide Amber, who provided a detailed and comprehensive explanation of all the tourist attractions, making the experience enjoyable and informative."
A spectacular end to the day, a juxtaposition of grief and joy, merging a closing ceremony with funeral pyres. At points I was moved. My guide, Mani, looked after us very well and made sure we got a prime spot.
This place is an unique experience. Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu is a sacred Hindu site where cremations occur on the banks of the Bagmati River, a crucial ritual for releasing souls to their next life, seen as a spiritual transition, not an end. Families bring bodies for final rites, covering them, and the ashes are swept towards the sacred river, which is believed to guide souls. Thanks to Three Juwels Adventure it was perfect.
Very unique experience-well done and should not be missed. Please read up on the funeral practices of Hindus so you will not be surprised but will understand what is happening.
I found this offering to be incredibly memorable and unique. It’s not often you get to witness funeral ceremonies from other cultures and religions you are not a part of. Amber was an excellent guide and explained everything and I felt I learned a lot about Hinduism in Nepal from watching and listening to the ceremony. Definitely a good experience.
Mahesh Ji was so knowledgeable and very accommodating. He just knows a lot and was explaining things in a very detailed manner. I walked all around the city with him and enjoyed the tour! Highly recommended.
This was an amazing cultural experience that gives you the opportunity to witness a very special Hindu ritual. Mani was an exceptional and knowledgeable guide. Communication was excellent with the tour running on time including hotel pickup and drop-off. Highly recommended.
Our tour guide never showed up and I didn’t hear from the tour company until the next morning. I was given a refund but I wasted time waiting to hear from this company.
Dear Sir, We sincerely apologize for missing your tour. Unfortunately, your tour was mistakenly removed from our Google Calendar and Email, while other Aarati tours ran as scheduled. Since the Aarati starts at 6 PM and loses its significance afterward, honestly we offered a reschedule or refund. As per your preference, the full amount has already been refunded. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience and truly appreciate your understanding. We’ll be more careful and sincere in the future to avoid such mistakes. Thank you.
Fantastic experience, unlike anything I’ve seen. Our guide, Amber, made sure we understood what was happening and had good views for the activities
