Punctual bus. Comfortable and air-conditioned.
This was a great trip with panoramic views on the way. The monastery is lovely with a bakery there selling fresh made goods and a cafeteria selling food and drinks.
It's a convienent way to go up to the Monastery, but also see the island views along the way. It's only a transfer, but it helped since I did not have much time to find the local buses and try to figure out their pick up times. Pick up is easy too right in the center of the port.
Inexpensive trip to the monastery. Good 30 minute trip over the island with some good views. Quick stop for a photo and we were given 1 hour at the monastery. Not too much to see there but the drive is enjoyable.
It was lovely! Only the monastery is very small. In September we could go there. I'm sure they'll overflow in the summer. Bus driver was great. Nice up the mountain in serpentines and down again.
Great value trip to the monastery and back with ample time to see everything and have a walk around the bay. Find the amazing bakery! Great views on the way.
If I could have rated 3 1/2 I would have. We bought our ticket on line through trip advisor. We’d arranged a pick up at our hotel. Unfortunately didn’t turn up. Receptionist rang and it appeared 1/2 hr late. Think we’d been forgotten. We’d been going 10mins and stopped for photo opportunity as said on booking. Perfect. That however was first and last time we stopped- disappointing. We were supposed to have an hr at monastery however we had 50 mins. No stops for pictures on way home. We were forgotten about again on the way back and driver reluctantly took us back. The air conditioning on bus was not working at the back of the bus So we took the trip to see the interior of the island and it was perfect for that. Monastery was beautiful. Even with the negative comments it was still absolutely worth doing!
The taxi van will take you there and pick you up. Nothing else. The monastery is large but only accessible to a small extent and therefore only worth a short visit. It is on a beautiful bay.
Good value coach trip through dramatic scenery to monastery for a short visit. Photo stop en route was appreciated. Chance of seeing turtles in harbour too!
