Panamanian Drinks and Appetizers Workshop in Panama City

Description
Forget crowded bars and tourist menus, this is Panama the way locals experience it. You’ll step inside a real Panamanian home, where our local host will guide you through the entire experience. You’ll prepare 4 classic Panamanian cocktails - each one paired with a small dish you’ll make and taste on the spot, turning the class into a relaxed gathering in a friend’s kitchen than a formal class. As you mix and cook, your host shares stories, techniques, and everyday traditions that connect each recipe to Panama’s Caribbean roots. Everything is taught step by step, making it easy to follow whether you’ve mixed cocktails before or not. By the end, you’ll leave with simple recipes you can recreate anywhere, new skills to impress friends back home, and the memory of one of Panama City’s most vibrant nights in an authentic local setting. Guests often call this the unexpected highlight of their trip - and if it’s not the highlight of yours, you’ll get your money back, no questions asked.

10/10! Tanya delivered an unforgettable experience. The food was exceptional, the cooking lessons were engaging and authentic, and her warmth and personality made the class feel like cooking with family. We learned so much about Panamanian cuisine and culture while enjoying incredible conversation and even better food. If you're visiting Panama, this is an absolute must-do. One of the highlights of our trip—highly recommended!
Great. Very informative and w satisfied . I was so so happy n excited to be with my children. To GOD BE THE GLORY
Thank you so much. We are glad Tonya made the experience informative and special for you and your children 🌟 Cheers, Maira from Cook in Fiesta
My family and I had a WONDERFUL time with Tonya , she was absolutely amazing & it was a great hands on experience. The way she teaches you can know absolutely nothing about cooking & still leave feeling like a chef ! She also gave us some good places to try and even offers several city tours you can book right through her.
What a beautiful review, thank you. We are thrilled Tanya made your family feel welcome and gave you such a hands-on experience 🥂 Cheers, Maira from Cook in Fiesta
One of the best experiences for an excursion. Tonya was very informative on what produce, protein could work together, and well as what cocktail compliments each appetizer. It felt like having dinner with family. She invited us into her home and made us a part of her world. I will be incorporating some of these cocktail and dishes for my next gathering. She also does food crawls, market crawls, have amazing spicy sauce and she makes desserts. Make this one of the first stop on your Panamá adventures.
What a beautiful description, thank you. We are delighted Tonya made the experience feel like dinner with family 🥂 Cheers, Maira from Cook in Fiesta
What an amazing activity! It was Educational, fun, and interactive while taking place at her home which gives an intimate feel to the activity. My spouse and I highly recommend this activity as a welcome activity to Panama! Thank you for helping me celebrate my birthday
That sounds like such a great way to celebrate your birthday. We are happy the class felt educational, fun, and intimate 🎉 Cheers, Maira from Cook in Fiesta
Great experience, Tanya had a lot of knowledge and energy which made the class pleasant. My boyfriend who usually does not cook also liked it a lot.
That’s amazing to hear — especially the part about your boyfriend enjoying it too. Winning over non-cooks is always a great sign the class hit the right tone. ⚡ Cheers! Maira from Cook in Fiesta
I love love loved this experience and highly recommend. We got to learn so much from Tanya and connected even more because of her connection to Florida! The kitchen is beautiful and she has recommendations for food in Panama, on the islands, and places to visit in the Mall! We will actually try and reproduce the appetizers and a couple of the drinks! We did this on day two. I recommend planning to visit the Albrook mall before or after because it’s a short ride away if you get the cooking class with Tonya. (Also. Not too far from the metro station so you can take that to another part of the city for .35 per person once you get the $2 card. Thank you Soooooo much Tanya!
This was an amazing experience. Tanya was an amazing host and guide for the evening. We made great drinks together and also learned how to make several different meals. It was very interactive, and we also learned about the culture and cooking tips as well that we can use at home. Would highly recommend!

This was a wonderful evening with Catherine showing us how to make various Panamanian drinks and appetizers. It was a great way to learn about Panamanian culture and I would highly recommend it.
Wonderful that Catherine’s workshop gave you a tasty, cultural snapshot of Panama — drinks and bites are a perfect combo for learning. Thanks for recommending the experience, and we hope to welcome you back for more flavors and stories. 🍸 Cheers, Maira from Cook in Fiesta
