This grand building that was once the summer palace of Adilshah, was used by the Portuguese officials. This building also saw the hoisting of India's flag marking Goa's liberation as was later used as a secretariat for Goa legislative assembly. Currently being the Goa State Museum, it hosts unique artefacts from the early past of Goa.
The lanes of Fontainnhas take you back in time with their vivid colours and Latin architecture style. They are adorned with beautiful shell windows and painted Azulejos tiles. We will walk you through the lanes narrating the stories

This tour thru the colorful warren of 18thC Fountainhas was great. Our guide Vimala was so informative and fun. I really liked the variety of places we visited in a short time including different types of architecture, a local (air conditioned!) museum, a famous bakery where we were offered sweets, and a wee cultural center. A talented musician sang & played the ukulele and got us all up singing and dancing. Everyone was smiling

Took a walking trail of Panjim city along with their recently added Raj Bhavan tours every saturday. Being a history addict I liked the amount of knowledge that the tour operator Sawani has. A very good must have experience even if you are a Goan.
