Beyond its striking Baroque design and ornate interiors, the church holds a rich cultural legacy, having welcomed renowned figures such as composer Frédéric Chopin and writer George Sand, who found inspiration within its peaceful surroundings. Steeped in history and beauty, the Iglesia de la Cartuja is a must-visit for those seeking to immerse themselves in Mallorca’s fascinating past.
The Casa Natal de Santa Catalina Thomás is the birthplace of Saint Catherine of Palma (Santa Catalina Thomás)—one of Mallorca’s most revered and cherished figures. Born in 1531, she is celebrated for her deep piety, mystical visions, and miraculous deeds. Affectionately known as La Beateta, she holds a special place in the hearts of Mallorcans as the island’s patron saint. We did this as a family with teenagers. The experience was relaxed and not too tiring. Palma had some interesting architecture and Valldemossa was more scenic and calm. Good mix for different ages.
This was our first visit to Mallorca and the tour gave a good overview. Palma was busy but interesting, and Valldemossa felt much quieter and more traditional. A good choice for cruise passengers.
I was traveling solo on a cruise and chose this excursion. Everything was straightforward from pickup to drop-off. I liked having some structure but also time to explore. Valldemossa stood out the most for its atmosphere.
Went with friends during our cruise stop. The trip was well organized and the drive through Mallorca was lovely. Valldemossa was the highlight for me—very peaceful and picturesque. Palma had more of a city feel with some nice spots to explore quickly.
We booked this while our cruise stopped in Palma and it worked really well for our family. The timing was smooth and we didn’t feel rushed. Valldemossa was beautiful and quiet compared to Palma, which was more lively. Our kids especially liked walking through the small streets. Overall a very easy day out.
